Chipped Tooth
I had fallen and chipped a big part of my tooth in September 2018. Luckily, it didn't expose my nerves so I was able to continue using it normally till now. Attaching a pic of it. However, I would like to get a cosmetic treatment for it. Is there any way to cover the tooth without grinding it away? I would like to preserve my whole tooth or as much of it as possible.

Hello, since the tooth has got injured ,I would suggest you get your tooth checked for pulp vitality(if the tooth is alive or not). If it remains vital (alive) then we can try for restoration, but since the tooth has chipped in such a way that the remaining part remaining is so uneven will require a large amount of reduction and the prepared tooth may not be able to retain the composite restoration..So, I would rather suggest crown . And periodic pulp vitality test has to be done to see the status of the tooth. If the tooth is non vital then root canal treatment has to be done.
Next Steps
The endodontic treatment should be followed by crown placement. if you want you can Practo consult us
Health Tips
In my opinion ,I would recommend option 2 that is RCT followed by crown since the tooth has sustained injury and there is a possibility that  the tooth may become non vital in future. So it would be wise to go for the RCT followed by crown. wish you all the best.

Hi mam,   Even though u don't have pain, First we have to check the vitality of the tooth, If your tooth is vital we can proceed with cosmetic Light curable filling which is available all tooth Color shades without grinding your tooth     If it's is non vital we have to go ahead with Root canal treatment  along with light curable fillings...  In future ur tooth might change in color, at that time we can  give u veeners( a type of protection where u need very less tooth reduction)

Hello, You ‘ll need to get it reshaped and contoured. It comes under cosmetic dentistry. Since the affected tooth is not straight , it may need more reduction of the tooth to bring it to a better shape.
Next Steps
Refer to an Endodontist or a specialist in cosmetic dentistry
Health Tips
Also, Get your tooth checked for vitality, since it was injured almost 9 months ago.
