Hello, Dolo 650 contains paracetamol (650 mg), while commonly available Sinarest tablets also contain paracetamol (usually 500 mg), along with other medicines for cold symptoms. Taking both within 30 minutes could result in approximately 1,150 mg of paracetamol, exceeding the usual recommended single adult dose of 1,000 mg. Although a one-time dose of this amount is unlikely to cause harm in a healthy adult, routinely combining these medicines is not advisable. Paracetamol generally takes 30–60 minutes to begin reducing fever, with maximum effect occurring later. Therefore, waiting only 30 minutes may be insufficient to assess its effectiveness.
Next Steps
Check the exact Sinarest formulation and confirm its paracetamol content. Clarify the combined dosing instructions with your prescribing doctor before taking Dolo 650. Generally, maintain at least 4–6 hours between paracetamol-containing doses. Avoid exceeding 3,000 mg of paracetamol in 24 hours without medical supervision. Monitor your temperature, maintain hydration, and rest adequately.
Health Tips
My recommendation: Do not automatically take Dolo 650 just 30 minutes after Sinarest because your fever has not subsided. If you have already taken both once, serious toxicity is unlikely at these doses in an otherwise healthy adult, but avoid additional paracetamol until the appropriate interval has passed. Seek medical advice promptly if you have taken additional paracetamol-containing medicines or exceeded the recommended daily dose. Persistent high fever, breathing difficulty, confusion, or worsening symptoms require medical assessment. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

This is a common sequence doctors use: starting with a milder combination medicine like Sinarest, then adding paracetamol if fever doesn't settle within that window. The two work through different mechanisms, so using them this way as your doctor advised is generally safe.
Next Steps
Stick to the timing and order your doctor gave you, and avoid adding any other fever or cold medicine on your own in between. Drink plenty of fluids and rest while the fever settles.
Health Tips
Go back to your doctor if the fever goes past 102°F, lasts more than 3 days, or you notice a rash, breathlessness or persistent vomiting.
