She needs a gynecological examination to identify the cause. Avoid intercourse until evaluated and treated appropriately.

Burning and irritation inside the vaginal area, especially when touched or during intercourse, is not normal and should be evaluated. The most common causes include: Vaginal yeast infection (Candida). Bacterial vaginosis. Sexually transmitted infections (if there is any risk). Vaginal dryness or inadequate lubrication. Allergic or irritant reactions (to soaps, intimate washes, condoms, lubricants, or sanitary products). Inflammation of the vulva or vagina (vulvovaginitis) or, less commonly, conditions such as vulvodynia. Since she is also experiencing pain and burning during intercourse, it is advisable to avoid sexual intercourse until she has been examined and the cause has been identified, as continuing intercourse may worsen the irritation and discomfort.
Next Steps
She should consult us for a pelvic examination to determine the exact cause of her symptoms. Until then, avoid using scented soaps, vaginal washes, deodorants, or home remedies inside the vagina. Wear loose, breathable cotton underwear and keep the area clean and dry. If intercourse is attempted after recovery, adequate foreplay and a good-quality water-based lubricant may help if dryness is contributing to the pain. For a detailed evaluation and individualized Ayurvedic and holistic management, you may connect with us at 9 3 1 5 6 6 1 5 6 5. We will assess the underlying cause and provide a personalized treatment plan to help relieve her symptoms safely.
Health Tips
Maintain good intimate hygiene by washing the external genital area with plain water and avoiding harsh cleansing products. Stay well hydrated, avoid tight-fitting clothing, and avoid scratching the affected area even if it is itchy. If she develops fever, foul-smelling vaginal discharge, sores or ulcers, severe lower abdominal pain, or bleeding unrelated to menstruation, she should seek prompt medical attention. The good news is that most causes of burning and pain during intercourse are treatable, and once the underlying condition is addressed, most women are able to resume comfortable and satisfying sexual activity. Thank you
