I am experiencing multiple small bumps on the outer vaginal (vulvar) area. They are mostly skin-colored to white, small in size, and have been gradually increasing in number over time. All the bumps are localized to the same area.
I have not noticed any pain, itching, discharge, or bleeding associated with them. I do shave the area occasionally.
Kindly advise whether this could be due to shaving-related folliculitis or genital warts, and what treatment or next steps you would recommend.”

Hi there young lady...
Understand your predicament given the location of the issue.
But, most docs on this portal who have opined are correct 💯 in that clear pics of the area are required to make a pucca diagnosis.
Since you appear to be Bangalore based, can always reach out in-person to one of us also Bengaluru based via apps like Apollo 24/7 linked to this Practo that will help you connect or share our #.

Ingrown pseudofollicuitis or molluscum or warts are all possibilities but all can be sorted easily.
Nothing to panic about.
Avoid shaving, trimming or general vigorous towelling etc of the area to avoid spread.
Avoid visiting parlours and getting a brazilian wax or any such procedure and direct contact or sexual activity till this is cleared completely.
Good Luck and Godspeed 🍀
Opinion
• Based on your description (skin-colored/whitish, painless, gradually increasing, localized), this is less likely to be shaving folliculitis (which is usually red, painful, itchy and temporary)
• Possibilities include genital warts (HPV) or benign conditions like sebaceous glands/vestibular papillomatosis
• Since they are increasing in number, it is important to differentiate clinically, as management differs
Next Steps
• Avoid self-treatment or over-the-counter creams in this area
• Get a direct examination (in-person or clear images via consultation) to confirm diagnosis
• If warts are confirmed, treatment options include medical or procedural removal
Helpful Tips / Words of Caution
• Avoid shaving for now as it can worsen spread/irritation
• Do not pick, squeeze or try home remedies
• Maintain good hygiene but avoid harsh soaps or scrubbing
• If these are warts, they are contagious—early treatment helps prevent spread
• Do not panic—many such conditions are benign and treatable once correctly diagnosed
