Broad based disc extrusion on L5 S1
I was having severe pain in right buttock, but with the gebbapentin (suggested by consulting spine surgeon) pain is gone now or it is very bare minimum. My current problems are frequent urge for urine and numbness at buttock region, heel, sole (right leg only). Also this numbness sometimes occurs at urethra or near to that (strange feeling on penis). I am daily walking for 45mins and doing suggested excercise twice a day. Is there a chance of improvement with such symptoms in existence or surgery is the only option left. Pls kindly someone suggest. Thanks

Will settle. Don't worry. Surgery wont be needed mostly. Take care.

Hello , From what symptoms you have and with the MRI u showed , surgery is the only management which can give u relief. I suggest you get it operated because unless the spinal cord is decompressed this wont go. Once neurodefecit sets in then recovery becomes questionable. Before its too late and symptoms worsen , get it operated
Next Steps
Surgery
