My mother has been facing back pain for last 15 years and took many medicines including ayurveda treatment and allopathy. Recently she has severe pain and when we consulted doctor they said, that there is a disc bulge in L4-L5, L5-S1 level. Please suggest a way forward. If operation is mandatory, how much would it cost?

Well i wont suggest you go for surgery straight away.Firstly we always try with medicines and physiotherapy and if no relief we can go for local.injection into the affected area..Last resort remains surgery it it all fails

Talk to experienced orthopedist online and get your health questions answered in just 5 minutes.
She needs proper evaluation by local Orthopaedic or spine surgeon clinically.many times, just by MRI report, if someone goes, it can be misleading. Patient's history and examination clarify many things.
Next Steps
so please take your mother to nearby ortho or spine surgeon
