Breast related
Hello Doctor, I am 24 years old, unmarried, with no family history of breast cancer. I feel persistent lumpiness in the upper side outer part of my left breast since 22/08/2025. It becomes more noticeable before periods but is still present even after periods. Earlier there was mild pain, but now it is painless. My right breast is fuller, firmer, and slightly larger with a lighter areola. The left breast is smaller, feels more lumpy/rope-like in texture, especially when I raise my hand, and the areola is darker. No skin changes, no nipple inversion, no spontaneous discharge I am worried if this is just normal glandular tissue/asymmetry.Iam worried about breast cancer. Before periods that is on 29/08/2025 General physician examined and said mild nodularity, now my periods completed and today is 7th day of cycle. Plz tell me is it normal to feel or not.

You should consult a general surgeon as breast examination needs to be done. He may advise a USG of breast if needed.

It could be fibroadenoma which is a benign condition. Usually no treatment is needed for this as it is benign. But you can opt for surgery as you said there is mild pain. Usually surgery is done for cosmetic purpose and if there is pain
Next Steps
Do an usg breast it will be ruled out in it.

It is normal for breasts to feel sore around the time of your periods. Breasts can feel glandular/nodular as well but if you’re feeling a lump on self examination I suggest you consult a general surgeon for further opinion and get it checked.
Next Steps
Consult a general surgeon for further evaluation.
Health Tips
A full examination and scan is advised.
