Braces confusion
Discrepancy between the two jaws is very much and front two teeth are misaligned. Doctor suggested for braces with two upper teeth extraction. Is any side effect of extraction in long run? Is it possible to skip the braces at all. What is the difference between metal and ceramic braces? Which one is better? Please tell me pros and cons of both.

Hi In order to correct the discrepancy extractions are required. It has no harmful effects and if post treatment instructions are followed the treatment results are pretty stable. Braces are primarily of 2 types Metal - usual clip that you see on most of the patients Ceramic- slightly less visible as they are tooth coloured and more esthetic. The treatment outcome with both is same however if you are conscious about how they look you can go for ceramic option! Braces treatment is not only to look good but it is also important to have good alignment of the teeth to prevent cavities and gums disease. If your doctor advices you for the treatment, you should go for it! Hope it helps! All the Best!!

Extraction usually called orthodontic extraction is advised when we lack in space and or when unable to align teeth even after proximal stripping There is no harm after extraction, this is part of treatment, teeth are extracted so the we can get some space and align ur teeth properly If u don’t want braces then invisible aligners are also available in market, they cost a bit high U can opt for that also Mar regarding ceramic braces and metal one, it’s only matter of aesthetic rest result are same for both

To correct malocclusion, tooth has to be removed. Aesthetically ceramic braves are preferred. You can also get invasaligners.you can consult through this for further details.

Should be corrected with braces as it is the first choice treatment for malalignment of teeth… There is no side effect of extraction in the long run… If you want to skip braces ALIGNERS are better options…If still no than smile design should be apt for you…. Metal and ceramic braces both have their own advantages and disadvantages… both are good options… Considering the age group you fall into ceramic braces should be much better

Discrepancy between jaws can be skeletal if there is a large mismatch. Orthognathic surgery with fixed orthodontic treatment will then be required.  Malaligned teeth need space to be realigned. Premolar extraction is generally the way this space is created. No side effect unless treatment is discontinued in between treatment.  Ceramic braces are more esthetic in appearance than metal ones. Though they are costlier. Braces cannot be skipped if malalignment is severe. Smile camouflage is an alternative in mild malalignment cases.

If treatment has been planned properly and extraction is necessary as per the appropriate plan, then extraction can be considered as an option. If properly done, such extractions are generally not problematic. Whether you want to do braces or are happy without it, is a decision you will have to make. Both metal and ceramic braces work well and have their own set of respective advantages and disadvantages. However, if you want an option that looks better while you are wearing them, then tooth coloured braces could be a better option.
