Blood Pressure
In Feb'26  I got stressed out and became very anxious. I was put on Concor 2.5mg. All test 2D Echo and ECG were done and normal. Then at the same time I developed a UTI infection and after I got better I was put on Concor 5T as in the doctor office my BP went 150/100 whereas at home it has been 115-145/72-86 in that range, Now my BP is always between 110-118/62-76. I have been taking Concor 5T since a month now. Can I reduce and completely stop the medication as I never had BP before in my life, only during the time of my anxiousness it went up and only whenever my BP is checked at a doctor's place it goes up with the fear.

White coat hypertension can later lead to hypertension So assess the bp variations at home and in the doctors office If Bp levels are in the normal range concor 2.5 mg is a small dose and if you have other comorbiditues like DM and dyslipidemia it is better to continue concor 2.5 mg andmaintain the normal Bp levels you’re having now Or else monitor Bp after withdrawing concor gradually and see if it is stable
Next Steps
Do exercise ,meditation ,low salt diet and stress control

This does sound like it could be white coat hypertension layered on top of an anxiety component — the pattern of higher readings only in clinical settings versus consistently normal home readings supports that. That said, bisoprolol shouldn't be stopped abruptly on your own even at 5mg, especially after a month of use — tapering the wrong way can cause rebound effects like a spike in heart rate or BP. Since your home readings have been consistently in a good range, there's a reasonable case for tapering down rather than continuing at the current dose, but the right taper schedule depends on your recent readings pattern and whether the anxiety component is also being addressed separately. I'd suggest a consult so we can review your BP log properly and work out a safe step-down plan rather than stopping outright.

Your home BP readings are not concerning and the higher readings may be due to anxiety, but Concor should not be stopped. Please consult your physician who prescribed for a supervised dose reduction taper before stopping it completely.

Bp and heart rate might fluctuate and become high due to anxiety and apprehension at the time of examination. Always get your BP checked in calm environment and after sitting in the doctors chambers for 5-10 minutes.. but to stop or change the dose of the medicine you need to consult the doctor first.

The reason behind elevated bp at the time of measurement could be white coat hypertension, which means you are nervous and anxious at that moment. But do consult with a medicine specialist before withholding your ongoing antihypertensive medication.
Next Steps
And if your anxiety and stress is affecting you so much so that it spikes your bp, don’t hesitate to consult with a psychiatrist.
