It may be caused by stress/anxiety, migraine pain itself, new-onset hypertension, poor sleep, high salt intake, weight/lifestyle factors, and excessive spicy or junk food intake.
You should monitor your BP daily and maintain a BP chart. Then consult us. We will examine you properly and, if required, advise investigations. After that, we will suggest appropriate medications, exercise, and diet planning.

Greetings ma’am,
I can understand you must be confused with all of this happening at the same time.
Firstly I suggest you to stay calm and understand the root cause. Migrain can be occuring due to many reason that needs avoiding possible triggers. Medical help is adviced only if the symptoms are affecting daily life or severe. This needs to be answered by your 3 month history of using tablets.
When u have an ongoing migrain attack, checking your blood pressure might give a false high values. And Im sorry to say of the values are found to be 160/80, monitoring for 1 month with no lifestyle modifications is not going to be of any help, irrespective of the time you will check your Bp at home.
Next Steps
Kindly consult online for further discussion. I will help you understand this better and start treatment at the right time to avoid consequences of under treated BP.
Monitor biweekly. No relation with food.
If you stop stress anxiety, sleep properly bp.remains normal with tab.
Change life style n diet plan drastically
Your BP readings can fluctuate with migraine, stress or pain, so don’t panic 👍
Home monitoring usually helps clarify things well. Book a consultation with me once I’ll guide you on correct BP monitoring and proper migraine BP management.
Your BP readings are intermittently elevated, and propranolol itself can also lower BP and pulse. Home BP monitoring helps determine whether this is true hypertension or temporary elevation due to stress, pain, anxiety, or migraine episodes.
Next Steps
-Check BP twice daily for 2–4 weeks:
-Morning: after waking, after 5 minutes rest, before tea/coffee and before medicines
-Evening: around 6–8 PM before dinner/resting state
-Take 2 readings 1 minute apart and record average
-Also note pulse rate, headache episodes, dizziness, or palpitations
-If BP persistently remains >140/90 mmHg on home readings, physician review may be needed.
Health Tips
-Avoid checking BP immediately after stress, exercise, caffeine, or migraine attacks
-Sit calmly with back supported and feet flat while measuring
-Reduce excess salt, maintain sleep, hydration, and regular exercise
-Seek urgent care if severe headache, chest pain, breathlessness, or BP >180/120 occurs
