Blood on cracked nipples can impact baby
I have cracked nipples which is causing blood when my baby tries to suck. He recently vomited the milk and blood came out. 1. Can blood cause harm to baby ? 2. Is it safe to give bottle to 2 weeks baby ?

Apply breast milk on nipple. Breast feeding technique if not adequate. Baby latches only on nipple, is one of the common reason for cracked nipple. Spoon feeding is safe.

Hi. No it wont harm. Cracked nipple should be treated so that she latches on to breast again. You can use nipple shield. Bottle is never preferred unless inevitable
