Hello, Coughing up blood (also called hemoptysis) should always be taken seriously, even if there is no pain or fever. The causes can range from something minor like throat or airway irritation, to more significant conditions involving the lungs such as: • Infections (like tuberculosis, pneumonia, or bronchitis) • Lung allergies or chronic airway diseases (asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis) • Less commonly, other lung or vascular conditions Since you mentioned that this is ongoing for the past two days and sometimes the blood amount is up to a teaspoon, it is important to get evaluated. Even in the absence of pain, fever, or breathlessness, blood in sputum needs proper investigation. What you can do now: • Stay calm and avoid excessive coughing or throat clearing. • Stay hydrated and avoid smoking or exposure to dust/smoke. • Do not self-medicate with blood thinners, painkillers, or over-the-counter antibiotics. Take care, and wishing you a quick recovery.
Next Steps
You would benefit from a chest X-ray, blood tests, and possibly a lung function assessment to identify the cause. If required, further advanced tests (like CT scan or bronchoscopy) may be advised (after having a detailed history)
Health Tips
In many cases, hemoptysis can be controlled with timely diagnosis and treatment. Since you already noticed it multiple times, I would strongly encourage you to consult a chest specialist/pulmonologist at the earliest for a safe and clear plan of care.

Hi, Coughing up blood (even if small amounts like teaspoonful) is called hemoptysis. It can happen due to several causes — throat or airway infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, or sometimes problems in the lungs like small vessel rupture. Even without pain or current fever, it should not be ignored. Since you had mild fever 2 days ago and now only blood with cough, possibilities include a chest infection or TB (especially in our country ). What you should do: Don’t panic, but please see a doctor (preferably a chest physician) as soon as possible. Basic tests usually needed: chest X-ray, sputum test, CBC, and maybe CT chest depending on findings. Till then, avoid smoking (if you do), stay hydrated, and monitor how much blood comes out. If the blood becomes more (more than a spoon at a time), or you develop breathlessness, chest pain, or dizziness — go to emergency immediately. Most times, small streaks of blood are from infection and get better with treatment, but because hemoptysis can sometimes be serious, you should not delay a check-up. I hope it help you

Blood coming in phlegm is not normal. Share detailed medical history. Get a complete blood picture with ESR,  X ray chest and sputum examination done. You can also go for T.B. gold test. Share results online. Then I can help you further to heal. Till then, take tab Ethamyslate 250mg one every 6 to 8 hours for 3 to 4 days.
