I have been suffering from bleeding gums(gingivitis) for a long term (~1yr). I did cleaning so many times in the dental clinics and also gone for laser treatment for gums (as described by doc) to overcome this problem but no use.
I am using soft brush
I brush twice a day(circular motion)
Using mouthwash and metrohex gel for gums.
Still I have this disease and it is getting worse. Please advise.

Hi. Bleeding from the gums is the first sign of gum disease. The main cause of gum bleeding is the plaque and tartar deposition. You may have undergone scaling repeatedly, but if tartar is present on the teeth roots, underneath the gums and has not been removed completely and successfully, you will have recurrent bleeding as the gums remain inflamed persistently. LASER has a limited role, it cannot remove tartar, it can only reduce the bacterial load in the pockets and it has a very superficial action. I would request you to consult a periodontist for the same. Also, the periodontist will look in to the other causes of gum bleeding. U May have some systemic problems, which may be responsible for the same.
A clinical examination is required to assist you anything on this.
If you have been practicing all the above mentioned habits and the symptom has not yet reduced.... The cause for the same could be something else.
After a thorough examination and blood reports treatment plan can be advised
Hii,
if there is persistent bleeding after cleaning ...then probably there might be some other cause of the disease such as vitamin c deficiency, bleeding disorder, low platelet count , anaemia etc.
Sometimes bleeding gums are indication of underlying systemic disease.
