It is recommended to visit dentist for clinical checkup before commenting on cancer. Ulcers can happen for various reasons - vitamin deficiency, teeth biting, stress, allergic reaction - to name a few. Proper reason be explained by clinical examining the area.
It's not possible to make a diagnosis without seeing clinically . Don't make a decision at your own that it's cancer it might be only a simple ulcer which takes some time to heal because of vitamin deficiencies or stomach problems. Consult with a physician also along with a dentist.
