Hello,
Dayvigo (lemborexant) 5 mg should ideally be taken immediately before bedtime, not right after dinner or too long after it. It is important to take it only when you are ready to sleep and can get at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Maintain a consistent bedtime routine.
Why timing matters:
Taking it just after dinner may lead to drowsiness before you actually go to bed, while taking it much later after a heavy meal may delay its effect. So, take it just before lying down, around 30 minutes to 1 hour after dinner is a good practical window.
Next Steps
a. Maintain a consistent bedtime routine.
b. Avoid alcohol or other sedatives when taking Dayvigo.
c. If drowsiness persists the next day, discuss dose adjustment.
d. Report any unusual sleep behaviors (like sleepwalking or confusion at night).
Health Tips
a. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery the next morning until you know how the medication affects you.
b. Avoid taking it if you cannot dedicate a full night to sleep.

You should take this medication before sleep. Avoid food just after and before taking the medication, . Best way is to maintain a routine*( daily activity schedule li.e time table) and take dinner at a fixed interval of time and while going to sleep , take medication ( there will be a time gap between meal and medication).
