Vitamin B12 deficiency is common among many people. Ideally you will need pure vitamin b12 supplement for 3months and stop it. Post which you could just take a multivitamin to maintain it.
Some medicines and alcohol intake hamper the absorption of Vit B12.Also vegetarians face this deficiency as vit B12 is found in foods from animal source.
If u are having severe vit B12 deficiency,6 months of vit B12 supplement is a must.Later u need to keep checking n taking short courses of vit B12.
