Is arthroscopic ACL reconstruction painful?
I'll be undergoing the same this weekend and my coach had his ACL reconstructed as well not quite long ago and he told me that it hurts like hell for the first few weeks. Is that so?

ACL reconstruction like any other major surgery is done under anaesthesia, in postop period doctor gives u adequate analgesia to reduce pain. After 2-3 days pain s almost not there or just a mild discomfort in thigh remains. So don’t be afraid. If u need this surgery, go ahead.

Acl reconstruction is usually not very painful with current surgical, anaesthetic and pain relieving techniques.
Consult your operating surgeon and he will definitely help you be painfree throughout

Well, postoperative pain varies from individual to individual depending upon pain tolerance and postoperative analgesics.you can’t compare one person to other in this case
