Surgery is the only safest option,if neglected, appendicitis can rupture and peritonitis may develop.. peritonitis is much more compliments n risky than appendicitis..

You should get operated when the appendix hasn't become an emergency. Otherwise you may have to run to the hospital in the middle of the night when it may be difficult to get a Doctor immediately.
