Is surgery required for
Sir, the scan report say that There is mild probe tenderness in right iliac fossa. The appendix is mildly dilated(5mm). There are few enlarged lymph nodes seen in RIF. There is no e/o appendicular perforation. And the impression is : Features of subacute appendicitis. No kub calculi or hydronephrosis. Is surgery is required or be treated with medicine.

Non obstructive sub acute appendicitis may not need surgery as first line of treatment. Most of the time , this will be treated successfully with appropriate antibiotics.
