HI All, I was suffering from anxiety and depression from jamuary onwards and i hav started treatment from June onwards my sadness has reduced a lot but anxiety is troubling me as all negative thoughts creep in my mind which keep me occupied full day also sometimes while looking at someone or someone touching me i get anxious and fell nervous i dont why it is happening i am not able to talk to someone as whiile taking in between i get nervous..can anyone suggest me how long i will have to be on medication and is it anxiety or something else and how much is the time frame to be fully well..

Hello..the complaint that u feel anxious or nervous when someone touches you and all needs to be evaluated..also the negative thoughts.what kinda thoughts they exactly are?? Are they repetitive?? Do u try controlling them?? It could be obsessive thoughts... Can't tell without a proper detailed evaluation..

medicine doses and their effects changes from person to person... depending on how ur body reacts to the medicine and depending on your symptoms, medicines will be tapered down accordingly.. but don't stop ur meds abruptly or without consulting a Psychiatrist

Hello practo user I can understand what you might be going through. The above mentioned symptoms indicative of anxiety disorder along with depression and high negative thinking. Anxiety disorder requires combination therapy i.e. medecines along with regular counselling sessions. Try consulting a clinical psychologist for regular counselling sessions.It takes few months for the treatment and depends on person to person. Which set of symptoms started first? Anxiety or depression.. ? A proper evaluation n diagnosis is required to treat an illness as whole.. don't worry discuss with your psychiatrist.. he vl adjust your doses according to remaining symptoms
