20 weeks pregnant,depression anxiety ocd
Hello Doctors, It's been 5 years am suffering from depression and anxiety, after my 1st pregnancy I developed ocd condition also. From last two years I was in sertraline 100 mg 1-0-1 until my 2nd pregnancy get confirmed. Now I am taking 100 mg only in the night. I am in London and Doctors here said it is safe, asked me to take twice a day as before. But I am very hesitant to take that two times per day. Now I am in 20 weeks , but really can't tolerate this ocd thoughts about my 1st child. Can I take sertraline twice a day? Will it harmy my growing baby? Yesterday I had anomaly scan and everything is normal. Hoping for the best advice. Thank you in advance.

Antidepressants like Sertraline are very less harmful in the pregnancy, and also you are in the 2nd trimester so your baby's organogenesis is almost completed. U can continue but if you have no depressive symptoms on 100 mg ,then u can continue that dose only.

Sertaline is totally safe in pregnancy. Dosage can be increased if u r still experiencing intrusive thoughts and some other medications and psychotherapies can be tried if u r willing for that
