Hi
The duration of treatment depends upon many factors like duration of illness, how you responded with medicine and how much you improved , any ongoing stress etc.
Usually the minimum duration for treatment for anxiety disorder is atleast one year.
If you are symptom free for last few months then you can ask your doctor to taper off the medicine, if still having some symptoms then it is advisable that you continue the medication.
Thanks and regards
