To learn to live in present you have make few changes like remove all the unnecessary unwanted stuff from your room/home.try not to dwell in past,learn new art or work on any hobby .when all we have is past accomplishments,past memories and not do anything to make your future worthy one will be in constant fear of losing.
Fear of death can be due to several reasons please consult any psychologist of your choice and discuss speculating anything without proper history can be harmful.
