How long does Effexor take to work for anxiety ? I just don't know if I should be seeing any improvements

Hello,
Venlafaxine can be given up to dosage of 225 mg; for anxiety dose range is 150-225mg. It is slowly increased for better tolerability. Even after trying for a month at therapeutic dose if there is no improvement then your psychiatrist will think of changing medication.
