Anxiety and nervousness
Lately have developed anxiety and nervousness issues while talking to even small group of people. Sometimes even on one on one. Especially when I feel or know that I would be judged. Doing quite well in career. However it has now started affecting my career. I had this problem of nervousness feeling, fear of public speaking for long but lately affecting a lot and affecting smaller group discussions and simple situations. I am not sure whom should I reach out for help. Should I consult psychiatrist or psychologist or take classes or counseling. Any advice would be of great help.

Social anxiety disorder, also called social phobia, is an anxiety disorder in which a person has an excessive and unreasonable fear of social situations. Anxiety (intense nervousness) and self-consciousness arise from a fear of being closely watched, judged, and criticized by others. Symptoms include: Tremors, feeling anxious or nervous, sense of panic, sweating, increased heartbeat, feeling of impending doom, stomach discomfort, dizziness etc These can be debilitating. If the anxiety us overwhelming, consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. With the right medication and counseling, it is likely your symptoms will improve. Other than that, try yoga, deep breathing, meditation, moderate exercise, progressive muscular relaxation and guided meditation.
