Anesthesia before HSG procedure
Is taking Anesthesia mandatory before HSG procedure? I need to chooses b/w two doctors - one provides Anesthesia before the procedure and charges more whereas other didnt advice for any pain killers before the procedure and charges less. Please advise.

As such anesthesia is not mandatory.....it is for ur comfort level if u can bear small pain then it can be done with some analgesic also.... So for without anaesthesia....u can tolerate it....it just like a menstrual cramp like pain....

Anaesthesia is not mandatory . There is a notion among people that hsg is a painful procedure, let me clarify it’s not . Some might experience pain , which is relieved by pre procedure medications. If someone isn’t ready or is scared , can definitely go for anaesthesia.
