Kindly visit your nearest Endodontist to get the root canal treatment done as soon as possible to save your natural tooth, else it will have to be extracted and replaced with the dental implant which is not only costly but also not as good as the natural tooth.

If you have already visited a dentist, the dentist must have suggested root canal or extraction based on severity of infection. Please trust your dr, the safest and best option for you. Any infection in tooth doesn’t get better with antibiotics alone. The source of infection has to be cleared completely for you to have pain relief, ie root canal when possible else tooth removal if no tooth structure is left and infection is beyond treatable state/ or any wisdom tooth related infections. Warm salt water gargle , sensitivity tooth paste work in initial stages only.

please get yourself examined if any tooth requires RCT. In case it is so, Sensodyne, gargles or brushing etc wont help untill the tooth in question has received its proper and desired treatment.
