Hello practo user,
First of all, Peanuts are legumes and not nuts.
1. Despite peanuts are nutrient dense, they are high in calories. 30 gms of serving contains approx. 170 calories which is nearly 9 percent if you follow a 2000 calorie diet. thus if you don't measure your servings you may exceed your everyday calories resulting weight gain over a period of time . also oil roasted and salted peanuts can increase your sodium and saturated fats. this inturn increase your
LDL cholesterol which is the bad cholesterol that can lead to heart disease. and sodium can increase your blood pressure again a major risk of heart disease.
Raw peanuts as such doesn't possess any health risks until infested by aflatoxin(fungus). it is better to have dry roasted and unsalted or boiled peanuts.
Next Steps
opt for dry roasted and unsalted peanuts nt more than 25 gms of serving.
