Based on your symptoms, it appears you may be experiencing cognitive fatigue and possible burnout. This condition, often called mental exhaustion, can result from prolonged periods of intense cognitive work without adequate rest. The inability to concentrate on learning activities or hobbies, despite being able to perform essential work tasks, suggests your brain is conserving energy for critical functions. This is commonly associated with stress, inadequate sleep, poor nutrition, or underlying conditions like depression or anxiety. I recommend consulting a psychiatrist or psychologist for proper evaluation, as cognitive behavioral therapy and stress management techniques can be very effective.
Next Steps
1. Schedule an appointment with a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist for comprehensive evaluation 2. Ensure 7-8 hours of quality sleep daily 3. Take regular breaks during work (20 minute break every 90 minutes) 4. Start with light physical exercise like walking for 30 minutes daily 5. Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or meditation 6. Consider vitamin B12 and Vitamin D level testing 7. Maintain a balanced diet with adequate hydration 8. Avoid excessive caffeine and screen time before bed

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. Your case has been allotted to me. I understand your concern. Losing interest in hobbies, difficulty focusing, or finding it hard to study or enjoy things that you previously loved are often early signs of mental or physical exhaustion, stress, or mild depression. It does not mean something is seriously wrong with you — it simply indicates that your mind and body need rest and reset. 1. Advices Try to maintain a fixed sleep–wake cycle and get at least 7–8 hours of rest daily. Avoid excessive screen time, social media scrolling, or comparing your productivity with others. Spend 20–30 minutes daily on light exercise or walks; it releases endorphins that improve focus and mood naturally. 2. What to Monitor Persistent lack of motivation or energy even after rest. Changes in appetite, sleep, or frequent negative thoughts. 3. Management Take small steps — start with short learning sessions (15–20 minutes) instead of forcing long hours. Reward yourself for consistency, not duration. Include foods rich in omega-3 (nuts, flaxseed, fish), vitamin D, and B-complex, as deficiencies often worsen fatigue and low mood. If these symptoms persist beyond 2–3 weeks, it’s advisable to meet a psychiatrist or psychologist for assessment. A short course of therapy or mild medication can bring quick and lasting improvement. 4. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately If you develop persistent sadness or hopelessness. If sleep or appetite gets severely disturbed. If you ever feel thoughts of self-harm or worthlessness. Every patient’s situation is unique. This phase is reversible with proper care, support, and treatment — your concentration and interest can return completely with the right approach. 👉 You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you’ll receive: • A personalized recovery and focus plan • Safe medicine or supplement guidance (if required) • Quick follow-ups to track your progress Take care, wishing you peace and good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

We definitely need more details to give any answer, this can be lazyness or this can be due to changed surroundings, may be in hyderabda you were more comfortable at your mental level, try going out and make peace with your surroundings first, mostly everything will be fine just by doing this, if not, do talk to some psychiatrist. Good luck
