I need to see her USG report.surgery not required if she doesn't have symptoms like vomiting, headache, pain abdomen. A regular scan later is to be done. If she has symptoms on and off then  lap cholecystectomy surgery  is the treatment.
Health Tips

Gallstones, or cholelithiasis, often do not require surgery if they are asymptomatic. The need for surgery, typically a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, arises if the patient experiences symptoms like severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or complications such as gallbladder inflammation or infection. Medications may help in managing symptoms but cannot dissolve gallstones effectively. Regular follow-ups and monitoring are essential if there are no symptoms. I recommend consulting a general surgeon for a detailed evaluation. You can connect with me directly for personalized advice and treatment options. Only surgery , depends on how many stones? With or without gallbladder. NO ANY OPTION. U CAN WAIT TILL SEVER PAIN VOMITING ETC DEVELOP. TRY TO AVOID FRIED ITEMS, FAST,JUNK, OUT SIDE FOOD. IT WILL DEFINITELY Aggravate the pain. OR u can plan for a laproscopic surgery least possible hospitalization n faster healing. Don't think after operation every thing is normal, if change life style n diet plan u will be comfortable otherwise every day murmuring will be there.

Symptomatic cholelithiasis requires surgery. If asymptomatic you can prolong the surgery, however it depends on the treating surgeon after the clinical examination.

Cholelithiasis (gallstones) treatment depends on symptoms, the number, size, and location of the stones. 1. No Symptoms: • If she is asymptomatic, surgery is not usually required. Regular monitoring and a low-fat diet may suffice. 2. With Symptoms: • If she has pain, nausea, or other symptoms, surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) is the most effective treatment. • The need for surgery also depends on the size, number, and location of the stones. Larger stones, multiple stones, or those in critical areas like the bile duct increase the likelihood of complications, making surgery necessary.
Next Steps
I recommend consulting a surgeon to evaluate her condition and decide the best course of action.

Cholelithiasis is Gall stones, stones in your gall bladder. First of all why has your wife taken USG? Is it because of Abdominal Pain? See, generally if stones found don't result in any symptoms it is not necessary to have surgery, but if abdominal pain like symptoms arise, further consulting of a General Surgeon is necessary to have a detailed knowledge of the condition. Medicine won't cure stones, it will cure the symptoms.
Next Steps
Consult a General Surgeon with the USG report
Health Tips
Don't worry much about it, this is not very uncommon, but don't hold yourself back from taking the necessary steps.

Opinion: Cholelithiasis (gallstones) is a condition where stones form in the gallbladder. The need for surgery depends on whether the gallstones are symptomatic or asymptomatic: 1. Asymptomatic Gallstones: If your wife does not experience symptoms like abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or jaundice, immediate surgery may not be necessary. In such cases, gallstones can often be monitored over time without treatment. 2. Symptomatic Gallstones: If she experiences symptoms like pain in the upper right abdomen (especially after eating fatty foods), nausea, or vomiting, or if complications like gallbladder inflammation (cholecystitis) or bile duct obstruction occur, surgery (cholecystectomy) is typically recommended. Unfortunately, medications are not effective in dissolving most gallstones and are rarely used, as they are often associated with recurrence. Next Steps: 1. Symptom Assessment: • Monitor her symptoms closely. If she has no symptoms, periodic follow-up with an ultrasound may suffice. • If she experiences any severe abdominal pain, fever, or jaundice, consult a surgeon immediately. 2. Lifestyle and Dietary Modifications: • Avoid fatty, fried, or greasy foods, which can trigger gallbladder attacks. • Maintain a healthy weight, as obesity is a risk factor for gallstone formation. 3. Consult a Surgeon or Gastroenterologist: • If she is symptomatic, schedule a consultation with a surgeon to discuss the possibility of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which is the standard treatment for symptomatic gallstones. • If asymptomatic, a gastroenterologist can guide whether periodic monitoring is appropriate. 4. Emergency Signs to Watch: • Seek immediate medical attention if she experiences severe pain, fever, or yellowing of the eyes/skin, as these may indicate complications like cholecystitis, cholangitis, or pancreatitis. If symptoms persist or worsen, surgery is generally recommended, as untreated symptomatic gallstones can lead to complications. Please consult with a specialist to evaluate her condition and determine the best course of action.
