Alopecia areata
Hi All, Can I use tacroz forte ointment for alopecia areata patches twice a day? I have patches on beard and eyebrows. Any other cream ? How much time will it take to recover all patches by using the ointment? Please suggest.

It would be better to conslit a dermatologist rather applying it on its own ..If single patch it may go in 6 months-1 year..otherwise get a proper treatment ..Tacroz forte is not a really very effective medicine for alopecia areta.

Alopecia areata is difficult to treat and thus certain injection can be given which are in the patch . Self medication may be harmful and may lead to over or under usage and have side effects.  You can visit us at the clinic or do an online consultation with us for the same.

It is better to confirm the diagnosis first and then start tacrolimus as it is an immunomodulator drug. Also, alone tacrolimus may not benefit much in case of alopecia areata specifically in progressive changes. Kindly consult.

Please don't self treat. Incomplete knowledge is a dangerous thing. Please consult online for proper evaluation. If oral medicines are not given in cases rapidly expanding, the entire scalp and face can be involved. Please consult online
