I am facing Alopecia areata patch from 3 months. Earlier it was smaller but not it is around 1-1.5 inch bigger. Though no other patches are there but still want to ask why everyone is not so sure of timeframe of growth. My dermatologist asked me to use Zemperd 16 and Minokem- N, paying attention on diet, manage stress and sleep, but still he is not sure when it will heal. Want real honest answer on this and it's quite frustrating.

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition which means your own immunity is fighting with your own body cells. Time frame of hair growth can't be assured by any dermatologist as it completely depends on your own body's response to treatment and the degree of auto immunity going on in your body. So be patient and continue the treatment. Your frustration leads to increased stress levels and that in turn might worsen the existing condition.
