Whenever I give milk to my 5yr daughter she gets cough that day at night.can it be coincidence or really milk can cause cough to some people.she had adenoid now she is fine no snoring and mouth breathing.

Yes milk do cause cough! Milk is sweet in nature hence increases kaph in body...also balyavastha(childhood age) is kaph dominant as said in ayurveda ...that's why children catches cough cold easily! Just start adding sonth powder( dry ginger )in her milk boil it and give it! This will reduce the kaph increasing tendency milk and helps in rhinitis! Do not give milk your kid if she had cough.it will increase her cough. Also avoid rice and curd. First take the treatment for cough for 5 days .After that you can give her milk rice and curd. If she have cough even then you want to give her milk then add a pinch of turmeric in her milk.

If milk is producing cough in your child you may stop giving it to her.. Instead you can try soymilk If she is okay with other diery products then Paneer, yogurt, buttermilk can also included in diet
