Ultrasonic scaler is a simple vibrating machine. It cannot cut or crack the tooth. The tooth is already fractured due to trauma or decay. It has just become visible now. The split has nothing to do with scaling.
Hie.. ideally, scaling doesnt lead to fracturing the tooth .. may be there had been already a trauma to the tooth which gets exaggerated with scaling ..
need to evaluate clinically how much part of your inner tooth is fractured if it is so.. if it’s painless, then might but only filling will work.. or else root canal.. if in an X-ray,it seems the fracture line is extending till the roots, need to get it removed
Hie...dear scaling does not cause teeth to be fractured...it seems ur teeth already got cracked due to some trauma ...consult a dentist ..he will do xray and evaluate either this tooth need to do rct or extraction
Hi! Tooth is too strong to get broken by a simple scaling(cleaning) procedure. The tooth would have been in trauma previously itself. Good that after scaling it came to the notice. And now that you can treat it before it gets even worse.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist at the earliest to prevent it from further damage.
Health Tips
Don't try to move it or remove by your self- it might complicate further, let the dentist do their part. Take care.
