I've got my root canal done today and my doctor told me to come after two days to fix the cap. Does fixing cap hurts?

So, your doctor will prepare your root canal treated tooth in the next appointment and take impressions or a scan of your upper and lower teeth.
He/She would then be sending the same to the lab for crown fabrication.

No...Not At all...Only while tooth preparation the gigival margins can be hurt but it bearable transient pain...

No... Not at all... Only sometimes during margin preparations you will feel some sensation of hurting of gums but that is just transient. So not to worry go ahead.
