About introducing solids or semi solids
My baby was born 35weeks+1 day  gestational age with a low birth weight of 2.3..he 'll be completing 6 months by day after tomorrow but still needs neck support so my question is...is it okay to introduce semi solid or solid food to the baby or should I continue exclusive breast feeding for one more month untill he can support is neck? Current weight is 6kg n what should be baby's ideal weight?

You can start solids twice a day at 6 months. His weight gain is adequate as per birth weight. His weight  ideally should be 7 to 7.5 kg but his growth will catch up as the months proceed.Progress to solids 4 times a day in the following month

Hi, His weight gain is normal. Start liquid diet and then semi-solid 1-2 times/ day and slowly increase to 5-6 times/day.
Next Steps
Even though he is 6 months, his development will be of a 4 1/2 months old. So wait for 1-2 months for the neck holding.
