It is a common behaviour in kids to not show interest in new foods. Follow few simple things 1. Keep feeding a fun activity rather than forcing. 2. Keep food available to reach to look for their interests 3. Concentrate on protein dense foods. 4. Too many options or too less also can play role in aversion.
Next Steps
check with Pediatrician. apart from weight we need to find out his height and weight percentiles, correctable nutritional deficiencies, iron deficiency.
Health Tips
Don't self medicate with commercially available medications for appetite. there is no medications proven that improves appetite with no side effects.

Hai After starting weaning foods Most of the infants having neophobia - means scare for new food Allow them to touch and feel the food , let them slowly enjoy the food texture and taste Minimum u need to offer 10-15 times to introduce the new food to the infants Relax and don’t force them

At almost 1 year, your baby's weight of 7.1 kg (birth weight 2.4 kg) actually shows good catch-up growth — please don't be too worried. Refusing solids at this age is very common and is called "food neophobia" or texture aversion, especially in babies who are still on frequent breastfeeds. Babies this age eat better in small, frequent offerings — don't force or coax, it increases aversion Try family meals together — babies learn by watching and often eat better with social cues Offer soft finger foods in different textures gradually: mashed dal-rice, soft banana, curd rice, small idli pieces Reduce night feeds slightly — frequent night nursing can reduce daytime appetite significantly
Next Steps
Visit your pediatrician once for a routine check-up and weight plotting To rule out iron deficiency anemia, which is a very common cause of poor appetite at this age

Hello there, You should Reduce milk intake, no bottlefeeding Don't force feed, otherwise they develop aversion to food. Don't react when they spit, stay calm and distract them to eat. Don't use mobile phones, use toys. You should eat together with your baby. In a same plate. So she can mimic and eat. Keep space between her feeds, so tht she gets hungry
Next Steps
Increase meal frequency At 1 year: 3 main meals + 2–3 snacks/day Don’t rely only on milk Focus on calorie-dense foods (this is key) Add healthy fats to everything: Ghee, butter, coconut oil → 1–2 tsp per meal Peanut powder / almond powder Power foods for weight gain Breakfast ideas: Banana mashed with peanut butter Ragi porridge with ghee Suji halwa with dry fruits powder Lunch/Dinner: Khichdi with ghee + mashed potato Dal + rice + butter Curd rice with ghee Egg yolk (very good weight gainer) Paneer bhurji / soft paneer cubes Snacks: Banana shake Boiled potato with butter Sweet potato mash Chikoo / mango pulp Milk intake (balance matters) Total milk: 400–500 ml/day Too much milk = baby eats less solids → poor weight gain Texture matters At 1 year: Avoid only purees Give semi-solid + soft family foods Let baby self-feed → improves intake Avoid these mistakes Force feeding (reduces appetite) Excess biscuits/packaged foods Only liquid diet

Your child’s weight is very low as per his age and compared to birthweight so it is a matter of concern and you should get him checked once by a pediatrician! For solid food / weaning…. Give solids before breastfeeding • Keep fixed meal times (3 meals + 2 snacks) • Stop frequent breastfeeding in between • Try soft foods: khichdi, dal rice, mashed banana, curd, egg, suji • Let child sit and try self feeding

Better to give energy dense foods and fruits Don't force the baby to eat Give him 3 meals per day with one snack in between in the evening Distract the baby while eating like play with him while feeding or tell him stories No junk food, readymade juices and sugar items Eat along with them so they can mimic you Don't beat them or use any other ways that might hurt them in order to make them eat that will increase their aversion towards food

Greetings Kindly give  energy-dense foods like avocados, nut butters, or full-fat yogurt while maintaining a consistent mealtime routine. You might try transitioning to "finger foods" that he can explore himself, as the current behavior of only eating small bites on his own resembles a desire for independence. It is important to gradually reduce the frequency of breastfeeding sessions to increase his appetite for solid foods, while still ensuring he stays hydrated. Since he seems to be meeting developmental milestones but has a lower weight, please consult a pediatrician to rule out underlying issues like anemia
