Visited Dr. Nirmala Jayashankar (Gynecologist) For Total Hysterectomy
Hoped for better:Â Wait timeTreatment satisfaction
I am sharing my experience with this hospital summarizing my experience with a very popular gynecologist Dr Nirmala Jayashankar who consults at this hospital and the way the hospital and the doctors team handled an emergency situation. the Dr consultation each time demanded half a day as her appointments were always crowded and even though you walk in with an appointment, your minimum wait time is 2 to 3 hours and you are screened by multiple doctors in her team before you can meet the Dr itself.
My wife had an issue of multiple fibroids and we were consulting the above gynecologist. The treatment and consultation was going fine for almost an year and my wife's situation reached a stage where her condition deteriorated and we met the Dr. and she was of the opinion that surgery could no longer avoided and she will fix a date after a consultation after a month and asked us to come on a specific date from her monthly cycle. in the mean time, the cycle time approached and with that my wife had some severe symptoms and we tried to approach the Dr over a call. we could not connect with her or any person from her team. After about 5 calls and lot of persuasion, we could reach out to someone in labor ward of the hospital and she advised if the situation is worse, we could come and get admitted in the emergency room.
As advised, we reached the emergency room and informed the nurse that she needs to inform the Dr and her team about our emergency. However, to our surprise the nurse in the ER was very lethargic and wanted to avoid us and after a lot of follow up, she asked us to go to labor ward itself which was on a higher floor. we did reach the labor ward on our own and tried to explain our situation to the nurse in labor ward. To our surprise, the nurse there was angry on us as to why we came there and not to the Emergency Room. we still requested here to put us in touch with anyone from Dr NJ's team or at the least inform her as she was aware of our medical condition. But to our surprise we were shown the way for ER and no one in the hospital was ready to help.
I then decided to seek a consultation from our family physician for the emergency and immediately we had to consult a new gynecologist *** *** * **** *** ******* ** ******* ********.
It was sad that Dr's become so unreachable for patients that even in times of emergency they cannot be reached absolutely. whatever the emergency may be. Is this the way we should be handled and treated ? On the part of the hospital, why was there no one attending in the ER room and the moment a patient with an emergency walks in, is it a standard procedure to let the run from one ward to another ??

Pathetic experience. I was looking for a good dermatologist to treat the pigmentation in my hands and after looking at the reviews I went to Dr. Sajai Varghese at Apollo Med hospitals. At the very first consultation I was made to undergo a punch biopsy. Doctor gave ***** information on how the biopsy will happen and how big a scar it’ll leave on my hands. For this I was charged a hefty amount which includes 9000 just for his consultation (which was only to tell me that I should get a biopsy). After a week I got the biopsy results just to reveal that I had severe sun tan. **** ******** **** ****** ***** *** ** *** ****** *** ******* * *** **** ** *** * ****** ***** **** * *** *** ****** ******* **** ** ** **** ***** has now become an additional concern in my hands apart from the pigmentation issues that I’m already facing. Initially he promised that 9000 is all the consultation fee I would have to pay during the course of this treatment but every time when I went back to ask why none of his treatment has worked for me he charged another 1500 for every visit when the cause of the visit in itself was to question *** * *** ********* *** **** **** ** *********** ** ********* ******* ** ****** ***** ******* *** ********* ***** ***** *** ******* ***** ** **********

Doctor was extremely arrogant...
1. He is not ready to explain the patients condition..
2. He is asking whether we will know if he tells anything about tests taken...
3. He is not accepting patients under Govt GIPSA insurance and hospital forcing us to go for reimbursement as doctor was not ready to take up GIPSA. Then I fought and asked to change the doctor and then they spoke to doc and agreed *** * * **** **** ******* ******* **** * ********** ****** ** *** *** ** ***** ** ** **** ** ****** ** ********..
Highly not recommended... Then it's your wish proceeding further
