Visited Dr. Vasunethra Kasargod (Pulmonologist) For Lung Infections Treatment
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for money
In April 2022, I experienced normal flu symptoms and a cough. Initially, I believed it was just a regular flu due to the changing seasons, so I decided to visit a nearby clinic. The doctor there recommended some medicines, but unfortunately, they didn't provide any relief. Concerned about my health, I made the decision to move to city in search of better treatment.\n\nUpon reaching the new city, I consulted various doctors who suggested numerous tests during each visit, Additionally, they prescribed several medications despite my insistence that I only had a common flu. To my surprise, one doctor informed me that I had asthma. This revelation was shocking, considering I had never smoked or been exposed to any drugs in my life. I grew up in an area with clean air and surrounded by forests, so it seemed implausible. I struggled to maintain focus, and the dry cough persisted despite taking the prescribed medications.\n\nThroughout eight months of futile visits to the doctor, each time I was presented with a different explanation. Frustrated and losing hope, I eventually quit my job due to the toll it took on my mental health. It was at this point that a friend from Bangalore suggested Dr. Vasunethra Kasargod to me. Initially, I hesitated, fearing it would be another financial burden. However, my friend assured me that Dr. Kasargod was an exceptional doctor, and it was worth giving it a try.\n\nTaking my friend's advice to heart, I booked my tickets to Bangalore and arranged a meeting with Dr. Kasargod at Manipal Hospital. To my surprise, on the first visit, he recommended that I stop taking all the previous medications and prescribed a new set of medications worth only cost Rs 30\/=. He diagnosed me with hyperventilation, stating that I was 100% fit and did not have asthma. Though skeptical, I followed his treatment plan, and to my amazement, I experienced a 80% improvement in my condition.\n\nI am immensely grateful to Dr. Kasargod for his expertise and guidance, which has significantly improved my health. I am truly thankful to him for giving me hope and a chance to regain my well-being.\
Visited Ms. Akshita Hariharan (Clinical Psychologist)
Note: This doctor is no longer practicing at
Dr Akshita makes me comfortable enough to talk about any topic, thought or concern that comes to my mind during the course of our sessions.
She has been the cornerstone of my recovery from anxiety and depression , which I was grappling with for 2 years , before I met her.
Her methods are subtle but highly effective. An out and out professional , who knows to listen and nudge in the right direction.
I have made simple behavioral changes on her advise, which has made me a less anxious person today.
Therapy in India is still not very extensively sought, although awareness is now growing.
I would recommend anyone facing mental issues to give therapy a try and see for yourself the difference it can make. And even more so if you are able to do it with a doctor as good as Dr.Akshita.
I have encouraged my children who are in their teens to also consult with her. In today's environment of toxic social media and peer pressure, kids too need all the guidance they can get at the right time.
Visited Dr. Chandan Juneja (General Surgeon) For Pilonadel Sinus
Happy with: Explanation of the health issueTreatment satisfaction
We visited Dr.Chandan Juneja for pilonidal sinus surgery. He explained us the cause, current condition and treatment. We took a week time to decide on date and finally got operated.
He is a great professional with through knowledge of what is he dealing with.
I suggest him for any one suffering with these kind of issues which would require surgery.
However, billing team of Manipal hospital, Millers Road Bangalore is pathetic.
They charge for everything which is not given to patient . Specially 5th floor billing , floor supervisor and sisters are pathetic.
Apart from these issues, cleaning staff is too good. They strive hard to keep everything clean all the time.
Food canteen is good. They provide service at room for attendees as well. Yes, seems bit expensive but taste is good.
Overall
Doctors:9/10
Cleaning staff: 10/10
Canteen: 9/10
Helping Hands/ sisters : 6/10 - 5th floor
Security:9/10
Billing and insurance team- 1st floor- 2/10
Billing and insurance team-5th floor- 1/10
need to look into these floor staff- Very pathetic, frustrating.
Visited Dr. Venkatesh N (Obstetrician) For High-Risk Pregnancy CareUterine BleedingComplicated Pregnancy Treatment

I visited Vikram hospital for my wife's pregnancy. Initially we were consulting a different doctor (diff hospital) but my wife had some complications. One of our relatives suggested Gynecologist/Obstetrician Dr.N Venkatesh at Vikram for such a complicated/High risk pregnancy. Dr.Venkatesh is the Head of Gynecology at Vikram and is definitely one of the best doctors I've come across. His enormous experience and expertise can be seen in his approach/attitude towards handling complex situation like ours. He takes time in understanding the situation/s, explains them clearly to us. His words are very assuring, relieving us of the stress we undergo. Dr Venkatesh is one of the very few doctors who is very Ethical(never suggested unwanted scans/tests unless required as compared to the prior doctor we consulted). He is always available for queries, can be reached on phone 24/7. Dr.Venkatesh also has a very good team Gynecologists who takes care of us round the clock. We still have a long way to go until delivery but I am sure we are at safe hands for the rest of the pregnancy term. I would definitely recommend Dr N.Venkatesh for Gynecology/Obstetrics consultation.
