Excellent! Had been to Ramakrishna Hospital to consult about my dad's umbilical hernia.

Dr. Rajeev Premnath is absolutely brilliant!

We had 3 opinions and 3 Ultrasound reports from different places but still weren't able to make a decision because of all the unconvincing opinions given by doctors. The opinions kept changing based on the report and the reports themselves had different results each time! It was very confusing as it was hard to get a definitive answer for a common problem like hernia.

We went to Dr. Rajeev to get a final opinion. He was extremely friendly and was very unique in his clinical consultation procedures.

He was the only doctor in the 4 consultations who didn't look at the reports first as he wanted to do a clinical diagnosis before looking at the reports(so that he wouldn't be biased from what was written in the reports). ** ** ****** *** **** ****** ********** *******

My dad got operated a couple of days later after the consultation and the surgery was performed by Dr. Rajeev Premnath and Dr. Manjunatha(Anaesthetist) who were extremely friendly and kept my dad at ease by having fun conversations! The surgery went great! My dad was able to walk on the same day. He was discharged the very next day.

Almost no restrictions to daily activities.(Needs to wear a belt all the time and shouldn't sit on the floor). The staff at Ramakrishna Hospital were very helpful and very dedicated! The hospital is clean and well maintained as well.

Its slightly unfortunate that such an old hospital in Bangalore with great facilities and staff has gone a bit under the radar. Hoping it receives the recognition it deserves!

I am 72 years old retired person had frequent urination problem since 5/6 years.I went through my family doctor prescribed tablets to avoid surgery and could manage.Of late it went beyond managing and contacted Dr.Jayadev at Ramakrishna nursing home .He recommended laser prostrate surgery and not complicated.On sept.20th 2020; around 5 pm surgery was done and I could see ;even though could not understand much.Doctor told the growth he removed was little pasty and unusual.With Catheter; blood mixed urine was normal but for me it was little more.Night around 10pm I found slow flow and contacted duty doctor.She was fresh from college with little experience.She did some as per doctors recommendation on phone. but no use and it almost stopped and I started getting pain.Around 2 am Doctor himself came and found due to blood clotting the flow has stopped and decided to do similar surgery to remove the clots.Doctor was busy in collecting people at odd time to help the surgery.Final problem was to get an anesthetist .Doctor went himself in his car and Got her from her house and finally around 5am surgery was done to remove the blood clot which relived my pain.Then as usual 4 days in hospital and back home with catheter .I appreciate Dr.Jayadev for his presence of mind and knowledge otherwise I would have in deep problem.Even though it is a known surgery for prostrate because of blood clotting second surgery was needed and every thing went on well.Now urination is normal and back to regular work.Dr.Jayadev A.R. has his own clinic near DG petrol bunk .I fully recommend Dr.Jaydev A.R.; his service for needy.

I had no idea of what a fistula is. 1 fine summer, my bottom starts aching and I can feel a swelling. My parents thought it was haemorrhoids, some said its due to heat cos i sit and work all day ( don listen to all these home suggestions and remedies... big mistake). In a week's time, the swelling grew.

Manipal Hospital, Old airport road was the nearest to me and I consulted a Gastroenterologist and he sent me to a surgeon in the same hospital. The surgeon said, "Get admitted immediately, pay 1 lakh in advance, tomorrow is your surgery else it will eat more of your tissues blah blah blah". I was put to a state of Panic. I look at the treatment plan he wrote to me and laugh at it even now. I went home and googled and spent the night in reading reviews and crying "Why me ?". Luckily I found few reviews about Dr Rajeev Premnath and his VAAFT treatment etc and thought I will give it a try.

Went to Ramakrishna hospital the next day and consulted the doctor. He examined thoroughly (feels embarrassing the first time to show but u get used to it eventually bcos get prepared to show a million times :P ) and told me dat it looks like a fistula. Neatly drew and explained to me what it is, took some samples to test and prescribed me some medicines. He told me that there is no hurry, 1st go get a TRUS scan and also to do sitz bath parallely because my fistula was already draining by then. I came with the scan after 4 days and by then the medicines and sitz bath worked to some extent by relieving pain and swelling. It was nearly 1/5th the size it was 5 days ago, now. He told me it was near the surface and so did not recommend vaaft but a conventional fistulectomy. The surgery was smooth. I was awake through the surgery and spoke to the doctor throughout. it was over in 20 minutes back to my room, they served good food for the next two days and i was discharged. My next few consultations to show the healing was free. I went again in 2 months with a little discomfort and a scan revealed a small residual tract. It was fixed in another surgery but this one was minor. Got discharged the following day. All this happened in 2017 April and by God's (Actually Rajeev Premnath) grace, im all fine till date.

The doctor is very pleasant to talk to. Patiently addresses all your queries and prescribes only minimal medicines. Hospital charges are nominal. They serve all meals to the patients. Hospital is well equipped and clean.

PS: This is my first review and I am writing it after 5 years only to be sure I am completely cured. I have never written a review ever but this gem of a doctor deserves one. May God give him a very very long life.

I had an assumption that in Bangalore hospitals there are good doctors. *** **** **** *** **** *** ****** I met this Doctor. ** **** ** **** **** **** ********* ,simply his experience is more and I do not recommend the doctor. ** ****** ***** ***** ***** *** ******* ******** ******* **********.There very less psychiatrist. Most of psychiatrist are good in giving only medicines* **** ***** ** ******** ****** Understanding Patient mindset is very much essential quality of psychiatrist. Very very less less doctors do that. * **** *** *** ******* **** **** **********. In mental health there are various ways to heal the patient , It involves counselling, therapies etc. Choose one good psychiatrist and good psychologist who work together to heal your problem. Also take your family and friends with you . Aks the doctor what will be the permanent solution to overcome the problem. Dont take layman opinion for your health.
