couple of months back we visited Dr. DIPTARKA in Apollo Sarjapur clinic. seeking treatment for my wife’s hoarse voice. I am very impressed with Drs. knowledge, friendliness and his great listening skills. initially he thought it is due to some throat infection and gave medicines for a week. when there is no improvement, he immediately used camera and noticed a RIGHT VOCAL CHORD LESION. we were panic and worried what it could be. this is where great dr. in DIPTARKA came out and he made us not to worry about it and he was in constant touch with us thru whatsapp though he is on vacation after long time. He came back and I met him immediately and again I have seen the great qualities of a great dr. He spent more than 30 mins just to explain what the issue is and when I was apologetic for asking too many questions, he said ‘ Your wife is like my family member. I will explain and answer all your questions in the same way I will explain it to my family member’ I was speechless for his humbleness and treating his patients as his family members. I was very much relieved after hearing him and with no hesitation agreed to go for a surgery to remove the Lesion. I never had a thought of going for a second opinion after he explained me the problem.
He gave me all possible options for the hospitals where we can go for the surgery and finally we choose to go with Apollo Spectra in Koramangala. Dr. really helped us by assigning one coordinator to work with us on the Insurance part. Finally we admitted her after all the pre investigations and Dr. came to us again before the surgery and explained all the details and made us comfortable. He completed the surgery in an hour or so and immediately shared the happy news of successful surgery. He came out with happy face and explained how he performed the surgery. He made us not to stay in hospital more days and asked us to revisit in a weeks time. In all these days he was in continuous touch with me asking about the changes. We revisited him after 10 days and he noticed the surgery part is healing well. he also explained us about the Biopsy report and next steps. He suggested us to go for Voice therapy sessions and connected us to the right Voice Therapist. Right now, my wife is going thru voice therapy sessions and we are hoping she will talk to us loud and clear voice.
I am very thankful to Dr. Diptarka for his kindness , listening skills, detailed explanation, calm mind, helping and many qualities of a great dr. should have. Thank you very much Dr. and we owe you a lot

A Cautionary Experience with Dr. Dilip Dhanpal
Recently, I had an experience with Dr. Dilip Dhanpal that left me feeling quite shocked. This review is written to share my experience, hoping it might inform others who are considering seeking his medical advice.
Concerns with Treatment Approach: One of the primary issues I encountered was a strong inclination towards surgery for a range of problems* ********* ********** ***** ******* ***** *** ** ************ This approach felt somewhat experimental, leading to concern on our part.
Recommendation for Second Opinions: Based on our experience, I strongly encourage everyone to seek a second opinion before proceeding with any surgical recommendations made by Dr. Dhanpal. In our case, further consultations revealed alternative solutions that significantly differed from the initial advice we received, particularly regarding the necessity and urgency of surgery. ** *** ***** *** ********* *** ** ***** **** ********* *** ******* ******* *** ********
Hospital Affiliation Preferences: During our consultations, Dr. Dhanpal expressed a preference for conducting follow-up visits and tests at Sagar Hospital instead of Apollo Spectra, where we initially consulted him. This recommendation was made based on quicker report turnaround times. ******** **** ****** *** *** ******* *** ********** ******* ** ********* ********* which was disappointing given the logistical adjustments we had to make.
Diagnostic Concerns: The diagnostic journey under Dr. Dhanpal's care was confusing and, ultimately, unsatisfactory. Initially, a UTI was suspected, but the diagnosis shifted to cysts in the prostate over time. *** ******* *** ********* ** ******* **** **********. ******** **** *** ***** ******* ********* **** *** ********* *** *** ******* *********** ********

Visited Dr. Diptarka Bhattacharyya (ENT/ Otorhinolaryngologist) For Csf Leak Repair

It gives me immense joy to describe my time with Dr. Bhattacharya. I had visited him in March-2022 for a CSF Leak which I suffered due to a sports injury. He diagnosed me during our first consultation and noticing the severity of the problem, recommended that I have a surgery at the earliest. Recent research papers on the topic of CSF Leak recommend the same course of treatment, given the relatively low-risk nature of the procedure. What gave me added confidence was Dr. Bhattacharya’s optimistic nature, and stellar academic background. He took more than ample time to adequately answer all my questions, weigh the pros and cons of his decisions, and gave me individual attention.
Post having the MRI and CT scans done, it was evident that I had a 2mm internal fracture which was causing the leak. More than the operation itself, the 4-6 weeks post-operation are very critical for full recovery. But what I appreciated through the course of the operation was that he gave regular updates to my partner and mother. You can never have too much of knowledge. I underwent 2 days of observation after the procedure. During this time too, Dr. Bhattacharya was very patient in explaining the next steps, precautionary steps, and disabusing me of my anxieties. His team was also very helpful and polite.
I went to him thrice after that, to ensure I was on the proper highway to recovery. No surprises, I am. I feel great too. During these visits, he was as friendly as before. I guess it goes without saying, that I give my highest recommendation to Dr. Bhattacharya. He was professional, accessible, courteous, and I wouldn’t think twice in getting another surgery done from him :-)
Visited Dr. Akhil K. Bhat (Laparoscopic Surgeon)
In the month of May 2022, I felt some pain in the abdomen. So consulted you at Apollo Spectra hospital. You explained and conducted all the necessary Tests and prescribed Surgery for Hernia (Both LH and RH). Pre-operation tests were done and operation date fixed for Tuesday 21st June. We all, (my Co volunteer Ramaswamy, his friend and my cousin brother Nirmal) came and met you on the previous day i.e. 20th June.
You explained nicely the procedure to be done for the Laparoscopic surgery, like small holes, then inserting the mesh by special tools etc. Also, in case a problem arises, then you will adopt the open surgery. You also talked about the Risk factor, if at all it is there, it is the age, As, such nothing was foreseen. All the other doubts, you clarified. You explained clearly in a soft tone, politely. It gave me assurance & lot of mental strength. Post surgery, your regular follow up like, you personally did the dressing, Removal of stitches, and good Nursing Services, helped me recover fast.
My heartfelt thanks to you Doctor, your entire team, Nursing staff and others. Also, I am highly grateful to Smt. Vasuki. Right from the day one she arranged our appointments, coordinated with other personnel like Anesthetist, Physician and other departments necessary to get the fitness for Surgery. Post operation she did all the Discharge formalities, and Processing of Insurance papers precisely and speedily. Thank you Vasuki. Lord bless.
Sir, I pray Lord to bless you and your family a healthy, happy Life.
We are happy that Surgery was successfully done with your deft hands. As he has said, your explanation put the patient and all of us at ease. You belong to a category of good Doctors and also good human beings. Lord bless you and your family a happy healthy life.

I visited this doctor when my mother met with bus accident and her spine L2 got fractured. I met many doctors in case of my mother but all doctors gave me clear reply to have a spine surgery done . I was very confused where to get the surgery done.
After some time my one friend suggested me that you should meet to Dr. Revat (Apollo spectra hospital)
So I met to this doctor. He said that he could perform the spine surgery.
I got the surgery date within one week and after the surgery was done my mother recovered within one month of time and she started walking again.
We were very happy with the kind of treatment she received from the doctor as well as all the staffs from the hospital. All the staff members were so kind and we did not feel like we were in a hospital. Hospital atmosphere feels like home .
After 2 months my mother started her day to day routine.

The package we received from the hospital was very Price efficient and reasonable.
I would definitely recommend this hospital for spine surgery and specially Dr Revat who made this surgery look like a very normal surgery.

I am writing this review almost 2 months after my surgery. I visited Dr. Bhattacharya after my ear drum ruptured and did not heal by itself even after a couple of months. Apart from this I have always suffered from blocked nose, runny nose, sneezing and acute allergy, since childhood.
Doctor patiently listened to all my concerns and before arriving at any conclusion, recommended a couple of tests to fully understand the extent of my issue. Post reviewing all the reports, he finally explained the reason for eardrum rupture and suggested I undergo both tympanoplasty and DNS surgery to curb all my ENT issues at once. Doctor and his team(special mention to Dr. Anushree) very patiently explain all the reason for issues, the surgical procedures involved and post surgery care. He has been always welcoming of the numerous questions I had and made me and my family feel at ease no matter how nervous I was pre or post surgery. It was only due to the confidence I had in him that I went ahead with both the surgeries. I am very happy to feel a difference in my breathing and my ear drum has healed completely.
Every patient's recovery period is different and mine took longer than anticipated. Though both my surgeries were successful, I ran into a little post surgery complication due to my allergy issues. But doctor very patiently helped me through this time and prescribed medications that helped me heal faster. He was always available, no matter the intensity of my worry, and assured me that I will get well soon. So as far as post surgery care is concerned, I would suggest patients to take as much rest as possible and respect the the recovery time the body demands. Rest assured, Dr Bhattacharya is the best doctor one could have asked for in one's treatment journey. Always donning a welcoming smile and positive attitude, Dr. Bhattacharya goes that extra mile for every patient to make their treatment as smooth as possible.

A friendly and extremely approachable doctor and a deft surgeon.
He listens to your problems very patiently. He identified problems accurately. He took time to explain my problem sand the conditions that I was facing. I had a deviated septum which had been hampering the optimal breathing levels and I used to face constant sinusitis. My left nostril used to be block almost all of the time in winter. Not only I used to carry a pain in my nose but it used to get worse when my body was trying to switch nostril. To make matter worse, it used to look twisted from one side. He explained the the deviation was severe and that surgery is the only option.
He was available for me online since I was very hesitant to go for the surgery worrying about its appearance. He assured me and gave me confidence that he will give me a strong and symmetrical nose and it will look better than before. I had a lot of doubts which he cleared one by one. The best part was that since I had very little experience with hospitals and was a student, he helped me out of the way to help me understand my insurance coverage.
Surgery & post surgery (most important)- The surgery went well. It felt terrible for quite a few days. But now after 3 months, I feel rejuvenated. There is no pain. I feel strong because my breathing is phenomenally well and also feel confident as it looks absolutely straight and stunning. I was lot worried about its looks as I have read about issues that can arise post these sort of surgeries like protruding nose tip, etc. But it looks absolutely amazing.
Even post surgery, he was available online for any issues and explanations. He was very approachable throughout this time as I was constantly worried about one issue or the other.
I will recommend the doctor anyone facing any issues of ENT and will definitely suggest for surgery around deviated septum.

My mother had holes in both the ear drums and one of the ears started showing signs of infection with pus information. We consulted Dr Diptarka. Post his thorough analysis he suggested closing the ear drum hole, removing infection from the bone next to the ear and also correcting the deviated septum in the nose so that any cold in the future should not cause negative pressure inside and cause the ear drum to rupture again. He explained the procedure very well. On the day of surgery, he saw that the adenoids growth was significantly higher and if left untreated could cause the rupture to be resurfaced due to negative pressure. Even though this was not planned, he performed this extra procedure during the surgery going out of his way and ensured completely that the recovery is smooth.I am writing this review post 1.5 months of the procedure, my mother is recovering well. Her hearing is better, nose blockages has gone way better and snoring had improved significantly due to adenoids removal. He never charged a penny extra and ensured most of the things get covered in the insurance. His post operative follow ups were thorough and explained everything about the recovery as well.I would suggest anyone looking for any ent related treatment to trust the expertise and calibre of Dr Diptarka. After consulting multiple ent specialists across Bengaluru, I would say he is the most skilled I have come across. PS my mother was a medical officer in the Indian army for 25 years and this was her first surgery in the last 20 years. She is completely satisfied and grateful that it was Dr Diptarka expertise that made it a cake walk.Really grateful to have found him. I would highly recommend him anyday.
