Visited Dr. Vasunethra Kasargod (Pulmonologist) For Lung Infections Treatment

In April 2022, I experienced normal flu symptoms and a cough. Initially, I believed it was just a regular flu due to the changing seasons, so I decided to visit a nearby clinic. The doctor there recommended some medicines, but unfortunately, they didn't provide any relief. Concerned about my health, I made the decision to move to city in search of better treatment.\n\nUpon reaching the new city, I consulted various doctors who suggested numerous tests during each visit, Additionally, they prescribed several medications despite my insistence that I only had a common flu. To my surprise, one doctor informed me that I had asthma. This revelation was shocking, considering I had never smoked or been exposed to any drugs in my life. I grew up in an area with clean air and surrounded by forests, so it seemed implausible. I struggled to maintain focus, and the dry cough persisted despite taking the prescribed medications.\n\nThroughout eight months of futile visits to the doctor, each time I was presented with a different explanation. Frustrated and losing hope, I eventually quit my job due to the toll it took on my mental health. It was at this point that a friend from Bangalore suggested Dr. Vasunethra Kasargod to me. Initially, I hesitated, fearing it would be another financial burden. However, my friend assured me that Dr. Kasargod was an exceptional doctor, and it was worth giving it a try.\n\nTaking my friend's advice to heart, I booked my tickets to Bangalore and arranged a meeting with Dr. Kasargod at Manipal Hospital. To my surprise, on the first visit, he recommended that I stop taking all the previous medications and prescribed a new set of medications worth only cost Rs 30\/=. He diagnosed me with hyperventilation, stating that I was 100% fit and did not have asthma. Though skeptical, I followed his treatment plan, and to my amazement, I experienced a 80% improvement in my condition.\n\nI am immensely grateful to Dr. Kasargod for his expertise and guidance, which has significantly improved my health. I am truly thankful to him for giving me hope and a chance to regain my well-being.\

We visited Dr.Chandan Juneja for pilonidal sinus surgery. He explained us the cause, current condition and treatment. We took a week time to decide on date and finally got operated.
He is a great professional with through knowledge of what is he dealing with.
I suggest him for any one suffering with these kind of issues which would require surgery.
However, billing team of Manipal hospital, Millers Road Bangalore is pathetic.
They charge for everything which is not given to patient . Specially 5th floor billing , floor supervisor and sisters are pathetic.
Apart from these issues, cleaning staff is too good. They strive hard to keep everything clean all the time.
Food canteen is good. They provide service at room for attendees as well. Yes, seems bit expensive but taste is good.
Overall

Visited Dr. Chirag Thonse (Orthopedic surgeon) For Knee Surgery

We had a very bad experience with this doctor. We choose this doctor because of a lot of positive reviews.
My mother's right knee was displaced and her leg wasn't straight she used to hobble but she did not experience any pain.
The doctor suggested knee replacement surgery and we went ahead with it as he assured us that
this is a common operation and within a couple of weeks, my mother could walk normally.
He didn't caution us at all about any potential failures *** ******* ******* ***** *** **** *********** ****** *** *** **** *** ****** Even after 4 months my mother's leg still isn't straight
and she still hobbles. The bad part is that she experiences slight pain when she walks but at night the pain
becomes so unbearable that she has to take a pain killer.
The doctor tried to place plaster twice (one week each) post surgery but the moment the plasters are removed
the leg goes back to the same position. ***** ****** ******* ** *** ******** ** ** *** **** ** ********** The bad part is he also placed the
blame on my mother once stating that the patient is not co-operating and the problem is in her mental
state and asked us to get counseling.
There is no sympathy from the doctor's side.**** ********* *** ************** **** ** **** **** * **** ****** ** *** *** ** ******** ********* **** **** ****
At present we are consulting another doctor and we are seeing improvements.
Although the leg still isn't straight at least the pain has reduced a lot and there is no need to take painkillers.
We really regret getting this surgery done. We would never recommend this doctor to anyone.

My Mother’s Experience with the Dr. Sunil Dwivedi, Consultant Cardiologist at Manipal Hospital, Millers Road, Bengaluru.
At the age of 86, my mother was diagnosed with severe aortic valve stenosis, a condition that posed significant risks due to her age and overall health. From the very beginning, Dr. Sunil Dwivedi showed immense patience, empathy and confidence that reassured our entire family. He took the time to listen to her concerns, treated her with dignity and genuine care and carefully explained her heart condition in terms of she could understand, and made sure we as family members, were involved in every decision. Didn’t spend enough time going through my concerns. Mostly rushed it. I wanted to know if I have EDS / POTS but I was told I was completely fine without any tests done with respect to the particular concern.. He could have referred to someone else, or told me this was not his area of expertise because it wasn’t. It was a disappointing experience to say the least. Turns out I actually have these issues, so I cannot put my Heath in the hands of someone who cannot bring patience and expertise in helping patients with concerns.

Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionWait time
Dr. Satish is an excellent and compassionate doctor. He takes the time to truly listen, ensuring you never feel rushed or dismissed—something that really sets him apart from many others. What I especially appreciated was his thoughtful, minimal approach to medication. He not only treated the issue at hand (in our case, an allergic cough), but also shared helpful advice on how to manage it ourselves if it recurs. I genuinely felt that he cared about my well-being, and I left the consultation feeling reassured and confident about the path forward.
