My 5yo son had been suffering with frequent infections, snoring, obstructive and paused breathing during his sleep for the past 1yr.We tried multiple therapies (steroid spray, homeopathy, etc) over an year, but nothing helped, infact it all worsened in 2023. We eventually decided to take necessary actions to help our son and met Dr. Diptarka Bhattacharya after weeks of online research for best doctors, reading through their patient reviews and evaluation, as surgery was necessary in my son's case and he was too young for it. We were pretty scared as it was the first surgery in the family.Based on Dr Diptarka suggestion, a CT scan was done and doctor said my son needs Tonsilectomy, Adenoidectomy and a minimal Sinus surgery.We were apprehensive particularly about the Sinus surgery due to the age of my son and the risks involved. But the Dr convinced us that it was absolutely necessary for a complete and long lasting recovery of my son and assured that it is the right and necessary thing to do.We trusted Dr Diptarka and went ahead with the planned surgery on Mar-25-2023. Due to the Sinus surgery, the recovery period was of about 3-4weeks. We started seeing the improvement in my son's sleep by around 2nd week. It's been over a month now after the surgery, and I must say my son is doing great now. He's much happier now, sleeps normally, no snoring or disturbed sleep, his mood has greatly improved and has also put on 4kgs of weight since surgery (he had lost weight due to frequent infections in the past).We are glad that we met Dr. Diptarka and trusted him with our son health.I must say Dr. Diptarka has the highest level of patience. We being parents, had all sorts of questions before and after the surgery and each discussion lasted atleast a good 30-40mins. Never ever the doctor seemed to be in hurry or impatient. I started having regular sinus infections, sneezing, headache, blocked ears. I noticed that my breathing progressively got worse to a point that I was not able to sleep for more than 3 hours every night. I self medicated for a couple of days and realized it was time to see a doctor. I looked at the reviews online and decided to visit Doc Deeptarka. It was the best decision period.

While I was aware of my DNS condition for a few years, he took time and patiently explained the anatomy, reason behind the progression of the symptoms, what to expect in the future and all possible solutions.

After a few scans and discussing the condition, he suggested surgery. I was immediately onboard partly because I had a lot of faith in him by then.

The clear communication was key to preparing myself mentally. He was always available for questions and it really helped with the nerves. He even went out of his way to ensure I had the right paperwork for insurance. He personally called the lab which did my CT scan to get a few missing details added at 11:00 PM.

Again, I had a lot of questions and he answered all of them patiently. He always has a lot of patients but he magically seems to have a lot of time for everyone.

About the surgery - The surgery itself is performed under general anesthesia. The first two days post surgery is very difficult because of nasal packaging. Life gets easier after that. 1 week post surgery, after removal of the splints there is a huuuuggeee difference. Post that there is a gradual but definite improvement.

3 weeks post my surgery it feels infinitely better. I am really glad I went through with it.

I was suffering from multiple ENT problems like nose blockage, Sinus, headaches, sneezing allergies, etc. In the past I had visited other ENT doctors but didn't get the expected results. Nevertheless, by God's grace, I then ended up visiting Dr. Diptarka for all my issues related to ENT.

On my first visit, the doctor did Nasal endoscopy and quickly figured out that my nasal septum was deviated to a great extent which was the prime reason for such prolonged nasal blockage issues which I was facing since many years.

He then suggested me to get this permanently fixed as I was suffering from many years. Moreover, all these nasal drops/decongestants, which we generally use are mostly steroids and, can have side-effects in the longer run if used continuously.

Further, on the course of the treatment, I was advised to undergo a CT scan. From the CT scan reports, I was diagnosed with chronic sinusitis as well, which was another reason for nasal blockage and frequent headaches.

I listened to the doctor's advice and decided to go ahead with the surgery. I had undergone 4 different surgeries for deviated nasal septum, chronic sinusitis, breathing difficulties, etc.

He briefed me very well about all the pre and post-surgical procedures. For sinus surgery, the post-surgical care is very important to clear out all the old nasal mucus and blood clots.

As my condition of sinusitis was chronic, I had to go for several follow-up visits for the cleaning procedures. All these visits were worthy, and I was feeling much better with each visit. And now after 4-5 follow-up visits and cleaning procedures I can breathe freely after many years.

He never ignored any of my queries and patiently responded to each one of them.

My friend had ear pain and nasal bleeding and was frequently falling sick. I googled and found Dr Diptarka Bhattacharya sir's profile which was highly impressive and we decided to visit him in Jan.
