Dr. Ajay Doiphode

My father recently underwent an endoscopic mastoidectomy for his left ear performed by Dr. Ajay Doiphode at Prime ENT Clinic. From start to finish, our experience was exceptional.

I had visited Doctor Doiphode in October 2020 to show my snoring problem . After checkup doctor suggested me a sleep study test which i underwent and came to know that i had a severe sleep apnea . i visited few ent for 2nd opinion but got very mixed reviews . Doctor Doiphode had suggested to me that if i dont treat this condition now , it may lead to other health hazards like diabetes , blood pressure etc . One whole year i did not take any decision for treatment of this condition . My snoring got really bad and i had apnea episodes almost every day . also it was very difficult for me to lose weight as there was tiredness always in my day to day chores . So in Oct 2021 i came to doctor Doiphode and decided to undergo surgery for obstructive sleep apnea . He basically removed tonsils , tightened pallates and performed septoplasty . I was scared with the amount of surgery to be done in my breathing area and throat /nose but trusted the doctor and went ahead with it . First few days after surgery were tough as my nose was blocked and i had to breathe through my mouth but within 3-4 days after removal of cotton from my nose the breathing somewhat normalised . i had to take some painkillers and avoid lot of food as food intake was paining in the neck . So basically i was on liquids and soft food for first 10 days but slowly started taking solid food . The healing process is gradual and fast after 15 days of surgery . Doctor Doiphode and his assistant Mr Mahesh were very helpful on whatsapp and phone whenever i needed any guidance or medicine . its been one month post surgery and i can say that my snoring has decreased almost 40 % and breathing has normalised and i dont wake up with a jerk at night and tears . I can eat almost everything now . Only the stitches in throat area sometimes hurt and nasal area is a little sore otherwise i am able to do my day to day activity freely . Dr Doiphode has been very supportive and i thank him for bringing this definitive change in my body which will help me to sleep properly and enhance my quality of life .

People that have met me in real life may know that I had a nasal voice, suffer from sneezing and it often looks as if I have a chronic sinusitis. This started slowly some 10-12 years ago but I never really paid much attention to it .
