It was inaugurated on 3rd November, 2007 by the then Hon. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Late Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh. Netra Mandir has been delivering quality eye care and providing relief to patients with various eye diseases. A total of 40,000 square feet of space has been utilized to create well equipped OPD and operation rooms, comfortable waiting lounges, air conditioned auditorium, spectacle outlet and various other amenities to make patients feel at home as they interact with the super-specialized doctors, paramedics and other staff while being treated.Other activities of Netra Mandir include Netra Mandir Institute of Optometry (YCMOU affiliated), collaborative research, Netra Mandir - VNH Eye Bank (24hours), outreach programs, multiple vision centres around Borivali, all under the aegis of Dr C M Shah Memorial Charitable Trust.

Appointment Time: Easy to book, no issues on the same day. I advise to book early 4 hrs before on the same day.
Location: Easy to Find. No issues here.
Process: It's got full fledged facilities inside the clinic itself & Including Optical glasses as well. No need to go anywhere. All in One.
The Cleanness is maintained quite well.
The staff is friendly & easy to understand. Nothing complicated at all. They handled the patients carefully. No issues for me.
My issues: Doctor re-read the whole description about my issues as to what I described & When I added further notes to clarify my issues, he completely understood that my issues flawlessly which I was struggling a lot with previous two visited experienced eye specialist last year i.e. 2015 which I wasn't satisfied at all. I finally got my answers once for all over here & it was resolved that it wasn't a issue or damage to begin with. It's occurred with not blinking of eyes over the course while using Laptops overuse for plenty of hrs each day.
I was advised to change my glasses as power keeps changing from 1-2 years of time.
Overall, I found the doctor to be amazing person with very good detailed insights of analyzing the issues correctly & directly from the patient itself. Clarifications are made clear with simple answers.
Optical Section was also available & located inside the clinic itself as the prices were reasonable & made clear with charges , etc as I need to changes my glasses too.
I would definitely rated as very pleasant experience overall & completely satisfied towards the end that I don't need to look for another eye specialist anymore.
My query finally got resolved.

He is very very respective, honest, kindest and the most important thingis thatt when he talks to a patient in the way that an uneducated person can also understand the problems that can happen or facing now, my personal experience about Dr. Gaurav Shah is that he gets satisfied with any of the test reports of his hospital only after he himself feels check the patient ones by himself.
