Dr. Rajul S Parikh has done his masters in ophthalmology from renowned Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore where he spent 5 years as a resident and senior resident. He was awarded Thomas Koshy gold medal in M.S. For resident in ophthalmology. Subsequently, he went to Lund University, Sweden for his advanced glaucoma fellowship. After coming back from Sweden in 2003, he joined renowned L. V. P Eye Institute, Hyderabad as a consultant where he worked as a consultant for nearly 4 years. Later on, he joined Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre as consultant & head in glaucoma department. Here he also started department of clinical research. Along with Dr. Shefali Parikh, he fulfilled his long cherished desire of starting tertiary care centre for glaucoma in Mumbai in December 2010. Shreeji Eye Clinic & Palak’s Glaucoma Care Centre is a hi-tech, fully equipped, state of the art tertiary glaucoma care centre located in the heart of the city: Andheri. Shreeji Eye Clinic & Palak’s Glaucoma Care Centre is progressing under his able guidance as director.He is also attached to Dr. L. H. He is invited member of associate advisory board of World Glaucoma Association (WGA) and also member of WGA committee on glaucoma society organization. He has vast surgical experience. He has performed more than 4000 glaucoma surgeries like trabeculetomy, phaco-trabeculectomy, trabeculectomy with small incision cataract surgery, advanced glaucoma surgeries like glaucoma valve implant surgeries, choroidal drainage procedures, scleral patch graft for bleb leaks, surgeries for cyclodialysis cleft repair, anterior segment reconstruction. He has expertise in congenital glaucoma surgeries and has performed more than 100 congenital glaucoma operations including surgeries in patients with axenfield - rieger syndrome, aniridia, sturge- weber syndrome. He has performed numerous laser procedures like laser iridotomy, laser irioplasty, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and laser suturolysis. He also has expertise in advanced cataract surgeries like phacoemulsification, small incision cataract surgery. He has performed more than 4500 cataract surgeries and was trainer for phacoemulsification at l v prasad eye institute. He is currently elected as section editor for glaucoma for Indian journal of ophthalmology for consecutive 2nd term. He is also in editorial board of “Journal of Maharashtra Ophthalmology Society” and “Journal of Current Glaucoma Practice”. He has been principle investigator / co-investigator for various clinical trails. Some of this research has changed the current clinical practice for better glaucoma management.He has written chapters in 13 books including international publications like World Glaucoma Association (WGA) consensus book on screening for glaucoma”; 2008, World Glaucoma Association (WGA) consensus book on medical management of glaucoma”; 2010, glaucoma 1st edition; editors Shaarawy, Sherwood, Hitchings and Crowston; 2009. He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals. He has nearly 60 publications in peer reviewed journals and 17 in non peer-reviewed journals. He has been invited to deliver lectures at various national and international conferences that includes world glaucoma congress, south east glaucoma interest group meeting, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Asia Pacific Ophthalmology Association conference, international congress on glaucoma surgery, AIOS annual conference, glaucoma society of Indian annual conference. So far, he has delivered more than 100 invited lectures in last 6 years. To generate public awareness in glaucoma, he has organized various public meetings and eye camps.

Had an extremely terrible experience. A patient feels comfortable when they are heard, diagnosed well. The doctor will do the following things when you will go:
1) Attend endless personal calls *********** **** *****
2) Give you 30 secs to explain the matter, check your number and if your power is fine then he will declare that nothing is AT ALL wrong with you ** ****** *** **** **** *** **** *** **** ******* ***** ************ *** **** ******** **** **** *******
3) He will be adamant with his diagnosis *** *** ***** ******* ** *** ****** **** *** *****
4) If you happen to have the last appointment, then may God bless you because more than taking care of his patients, he will be in a rush to go home and keep putting off matters for next appointment
5) He will keep saying that "you can go to multiple doctors but you have to adhere to this sheet( he has created some sheet with rules which an office going person who has 100 things on a plate will not remember to adhere)
6) He will be rude

I trusted this doctor and sent my entire family to him *** ***** *** *** ******** ******** *** ******* *** neglected by my family too. Upon discussing, they told me that they experienced something out of the points I mentioned above whenever they have visited him.

I reached out to doctor for infraction around my eye as I was having itching. Doc told me to use steroids to fix it and asked me to continue for more than 4 weeks. ** ******* ** *** ******* *** ********* *** *** ****** ** **** It was a fungal infection around eye which was causing irritation in eye. *** ****** **** ****** *** ******** *** ***** **** ** ************ * ***** **** **** ** ******* *** ** ******** *** **** ****** ** *** *** ****** ** ***** *** ** ** ** *** ***** ** ********* Further instead of understanding why patient has come to doc in emergency post initial checkup’s he is more concerned why the prescription was not carried. I had to wait for 45 minutes after getting the appointment. Very sad experience. Wont Recommend to anyone.

In last visit eye pressure found 25 and we were worried if pressure does not fall than laser surgery may required.Rajul bhai suggested that eye drops to be in eye lid and not on eye ball and revisit after one month.Yesterday result was better and pressure was 22.
We were relieved from surgery process.

I was almost blind when my brother took me to his clinic. He was very nice to me and started treatment for my damaged eye sight. Now atleast i can walk and go out of my own. I think God has given him healing touch. Now I see him after every two month where he check my pressure and give advice
