our story for planning pregnancy upto delivery.When we started our family planning, we looked up and came accross Madhuri mam. We are consulting mam from day one of our planning upto delivery. She is very approachable, calm and listens to all our doubts. She will also put her strong foot down if we do not listen or follow her guidance which is completely necessary. I had a PCOS history long back and we also started our family planning late. We conceived within 4 months after we started consultation with mam. Throughout my pregnancy she provided us lot of support and since there was pandemic outbreak, she extended all her guidance and support via video consultation, online platform to ensure that I get all possible help without stepping out ensuring my safety. Want to share recent delivery experience at Motherhood hospital under Dr. Madhuri

We had a C section planned, but a day before, water broke and we got admitted to the hospital. Team of doctors under Dr. Madhuri ran some checks/tests to ensure everything was okay. Soon after, labour started naturally. After a few hours, pain intensified and we requested Dr. Madhuri to perform a C section. However based on the baby head position and few other parameters, she advised to go for normal delivery along with epidural as an option.

Epidural was a life saver! Pain reduced drastically after taking it.

Finally after 16 hrs of labour made it through normal delivery.

Based on my overall experience, to all expecting moms, I would suggest:

1. If you want to go for a planned C section, do so when your doctor suggests. We delayed the C section by a week and our plan failed a day before!

2. If/when doctor suggests, TAKE THE EPIDURAL FULLSTOP!

I had minor headaches and back pain for a day or two but that is absolutely manageable.

3. For husbands and family members: If you plan to go for a normal delivery there may be a time when the patient loose hope due to extreme pain and begs for a C section. Do as doctors say. If they advise to wait, motivate the patient anyhow. They might curse you at that moment, but will definitely thank later.

4. Completely surrender to your doctor on the d day. It may be new for you, but they have been doing it daily and for years!

Bonus tip: In case of normal delivery, the bottom most suture might pain more than others while sitting. We consulted Dr. Madhuri and she removed the suture. It was a lot of relief after doing that 1 min procedure.

Initially, we found her strict during our first visit and perhaps even rude during the second, but as we progressed through the treatment, we realized that her approach was solely focused on ensuring the well-being of both myself and my baby. She doesn't sugarcoat when everything is progressing smoothly but jump into action with solutions at the slightest sign of complication.

Although having pregnancy in age of 37, throughout the first seven months of my pregnancy, we actively followed her medication and dietary advice, resulting in a smooth journey. However, entering the early stages of the eighth month, I encountered a concerning bleeding issue, posing a significant threat. Despite conflicting diagnoses from different radiologists, Dr. Madhuri's extensive experience shone through as she persisted in her treatment, prioritizing both the proper development of the baby and the prevention of pre-term delivery.

The subsequent days of bed rest from 32nd week were really challenging, but Dr. Madhuri's unwavering care and constant vigilance provided us with reassurance. By the 32nd week, my cervical length had significantly shortened, indicating clear signs of impending preterm delivery.
