Dr. Abhijeet's Dentaville Multispeciality Dental clinic, Ravet

I would like to highlight my experience during various stages:

Pre-treatment: I already had a dental bridge fixed on my 3 lower-jaw molar teeth 8 years ago from some other dentist. At the time of initial consultation with Dr Patil in October 2020, it was diagnosed by him that the old bridge was fractured and would require replacement with a new bridge. In addition to this, he also made an observation that the measurements of the old bridge wasn’t precise leading to food lodgement which could have further led to cavity-formation. I was also suggested to have minor filling done for a couple of other teeth to prevent them from further damage as well as to have scaling and polishing done for maintaining overall oral hygiene. This diagnosis was supported with x-rays and the live on-screen view of the patient’s dental condition using some high-end camera/ scanner.

Having a dental bridge fixed is a costly affair for a patient and requires due consideration from a long-term durability point of view. This made me ask the doctor innumerable questions around the treatment and it is commendable that he made sure to answer all of them with utmost patience and calmness. He gave me good insights as to what will be the process involved in the treatment and what are the materials that will be used into the bridge or tooth fillings. I was satisfied with the doctor’s attention to detailing and precision during initial consultation; hence I decided to go for the treatment.

During treatment: I was under anesthesia for bridge treatment and hence it did not pain at all. Once the anesthesia effect was over, there was minor sensitivity for a couple of days which I was informed by the doctor beforehand. The doctor made it sure to have “trials” twice before the final bridge was fixed. During the trials, he critically examined the high-points, my chewing style, my upper jaw teeth structure, etc. to give the maximum food chewing efficiency post-bridge fit. On the day of final bridge insertion, no modifications were made to the bridge. I was very happy that the final bridge was not tampered with before fitting.

During the treatment for tooth-fillings and scaling, I was not given anesthesia and that’s when I realized that the doctor’s technique of treatment was quite gentle. I greatly appreciate his way of communicating with the patient during the treatment to understand the threshold level of pain.

Post treatment: The doctor himself reached out to check on me if there is any pain and also about the comfort level of the bridge. This was a really kind gesture and I admit that my previous dentists have never been so approachable. Moreover, he explained to me how and which practices should be followed on a regular basis to maintain better oral health in future.

As a part of general observation – The doctor is punctual, schedules the appointment well-in-advance and works in a planned manner so that there is no waiting time.

I strongly recommend Dr. Abhijeet Patil for getting dental problems treated.

However, I really suggest that for routine dental treatments like scaling and polishing, the fees should be lowered so that people can have it done as per regular intervals recommended by dentists.

Well, I would still like to hold-on and experience the effectiveness of the material used and efficiency of the treatment in the long run.

I am writing this review for my parents (Single sitting root canal treatment with crown, dental filing and scaling)

Good:

1. Detailed explanation is given by the doctor about the overall dental health of the patient at the time of initial consultation (explains all questions surrounding the purpose, procedure, duration of the treatment (treatment, if required to be undertaken) and precautionary measures for future). He makes sure to answer all your numerous questions patiently and will make you feel at ease.

2. Use of latest technology - there is some TV/ monitor like screen with fantastic ultra-zoom facility which the patient can view while the patient is getting treated on the "patient's seat" (this helps the patient see what exactly is the condition of his/ her tooth). Moreover, this screen is extremely helpful at the time of initial consultation to understand the root cause in case any dental treatment is prescribed.

3. Painless treatment and single sitting root canal - As per my current knowledge about dentists, the term root canal treatment always involved pain and multiple rounds of visit to the doctor. However, the single sitting root canal treatment here went absolutely painless due to the use of advanced technological instruments/ machines as well as by the doctor's way/ technique of handling instruments gently thereby leading to insignificant pain (PS - Painless here is with use of absolute minimal anesthesia)

4. On time - No waiting. Appointment time is thoroughly followed.

5. Hygiene - The clinic is clean and smells good. Before a new person is entered, he/ she is required to use medicated sanitizer, temperature and pulse check. Doctor uses new/ fresh gloves while starting with a new patient.

6. Parking - Ample parking space for vehicles for the patients!!!

Not so good -

1. Mouthwash should be given to the patient to rinse before starting/ after finishing the consultation/ treatment

2. You might find the fees for certain type of treatments slightly higher than the other dentist.

Disclaimer - I will wait to see the long term results of the treatment done by him since the material used for dental crowns/ filings will show its effectiveness in the near future.

I had been to Dr. Abhijeet for regular tooth checkup. I was bit afraid initially as around 12 teeth were found decayed in an x-ray. Front top 2 teeth also had decay between them. So on priority, I decided to get that filled first. The treatment was hardly 2% painful. The filling perfectly matched the color of my teeth. Also, the process took no longer than 15-20 mins. I was surprised to see the results!!!

Would definitely recommend Dr. Abhijeet! Highly professional and humble behaviour!!! Will be taking my further treatment soon!

I believe for a patient consulting a doctor, trust is the most important criteria. I visited Dentaville based on the recommendation by one of my close friends. In the first visit itself I was extremely happy with the courteous and jovial nature of Dr. Abhijeet. He analyzes the issue and explains it to the patient helping them understand what treatment options are available. The best part about his treatment is his attention to detail and understanding the mindset of his patients. He also ensures to follow up with his patients post treatment and is always available to answer any questions and clear doubts.

This was my second visit to his clinic in a period of 9 months and I would definitely recommend him. Thank you Doc!!
