Tejas Shah is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Mumbai with over 16 years of experience and over 16,000 hours of therapy experience working with adults, couples, families, children, and adolescents. He holds an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (RCI), along with a Master’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Philosophy. He is also a PhD Scholar in Philosophical Counseling at the University of Mumbai.His clinical work is informed by extensive training across psychotherapy approaches, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Couples and Family Therapy, CBT, REBT, ACT, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Group Analysis, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and mindfulness-based approaches. He has received advanced training from institutions and organizations such as TISS Mumbai, NIMHANS Bangalore, Beck Institute, Albert Ellis Institute, ISTDP Institute, and the Institute of Group Analysis, London.Tejas works with concerns such as depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, low self-esteem, loneliness, anger, relationship and marital conflict, family distress, personality-related difficulties, and psychosocial stress. He also works with LGBTQIA+ concerns through an affirmative lens and is attentive to the impact of social, cultural, and structural marginalization on emotional wellbeing. In addition, he has experience working with children and adolescents facing ADHD, autism, intellectual disability, and emotional or behavioural difficulties.His approach to therapy is integrative, depth-oriented, and collaborative. He aims to create a safe, reflective, and non-judgmental space where clients can better understand their inner world, reduce distress, strengthen emotional resilience, and move toward more meaningful and effective ways of living. Alongside private practice, he has worked in public and private hospital settings, delivered workshops and lectures, and trained 500+ suicide prevention gatekeepers across India.
