I wish I had found Mrs Ruchi sooner, after wasting my time and money on other therapist, I was not sure if i would get the help I needed, but with Ruchi it was just a matter of some sessions, and i was in a better state of mind. I wish I could do anymore to thank her for being such a great therapist.

Dr Ruchi Manek is a patient lister and really helped me to understand my issues clearly and helped me to come to a solution as of how to solve those issues. Will really recommend her!

Ruchi was instrumental in helping me navigate a rough patch in my life and helping me find my way and grounding at a time when I felt very lost and confused. She looks out for her patients over and above her sessions and will check in on you if she knows you need the additional support.

Quite disappointed. The wife and I went to her for marital counselling because our conflict was getting awful.

Full disclosure: Before visiting her, I had been suppressing my emotions for years (because that's what my wife would demand) so I used to get upset easily in my sessions. * ***** *** ****** **** *********** ** ** ** ***** ************ ******* ** ****** ** ********** *** ****** ** ***** ** ******** ** ****

During the months we were having our counselling sessions, I was slapped hard multiple times by my wife and threatened to be kicked out of the house and my kids' lives (I am a stay-at-home dad who has been the main parent in my kids' lives). The doctor refused to take these concerns seriously and I was left helpless. She even laughed once and asked me why I am talking like a 'victim'. I am not an expert in psych. but I do feel being slapped hard by a spouse deserves more empathy, regardless of gender.

I requested the doc - at least mention to my wife that hitting is wrong and threatening is wrong. I don't understand the logic but the doctor told me it is NOT her job to tell my wife to stop threatening me. Instead she gave me advice which felt like I was responsible for her behaviour.

I also regret getting upset in her sessions because we clearly got off on a wrong foot and I don't think she liked me very much. But I had assumed that it's a safe space for me to finally express my emotions - and I assumed wrong. Our last session was unpleasant and both of us got annoyed with each other.

Even today, my wife continues to justify her hitting and threatening. And sometimes I wonder if things would have been different if the doctor had at least made a mention to her that this is not good behaviour.

The doctor is very friendly, calm, helpful & very good listener.

I was pretty fast in sharing the issue but she got what I was telling. In fact she’s following up. I’ve just started, hope it continues.

Her advices have helped me in staying calm and taking care of the issue.

I was in a bad mind state with suicidal thoughts when I seeked help from her. She counselled me throughout the phase in phone call.I feel good now after 12 days.I am able to cope up now and accept that nothing is bigger than my self control.
